I'm a Native American (Kickapoo) from Texas and retired from the U.S. Air Force. 5 years in a row, I attended the Military Tattoo at Castle Edinburgh. What an amazing event, amazing place, city and country!! They love my Texas accent everywhere I go in Scotland and I love the people right back. I served in the military alongside Scots regiments and they have my highest respect. Scotland .... always FREE!

We have 125 acres of land in Texas where we have our offices and casino. There are only 1,100 of us left. The Kokopelli is one of our symbols - travel, wisdom and passionate intimacy.

I went to Scotland, specifically Edinburgh, for the first time back in May. It was a beautiful place. The city is probably one of the most beautiful I’ve seen. Cityscape meets natural landscape in a great way there, with an inactive volcano butting right up against the old buildings. I highly recommend for anyone thinking of visiting the UK to make Edinburgh part of the trip!

Read the scottish declaration of independence of arbroath where they know they crossed the red sea with Moses. That makes them among the lost tribes of Israel. When I think of Joseph's coat of many colors I think of plaid. The celtic languages are very similar to Hebrew.

@@ghoulcat6352 that is true to an extent I am sure. When Assyria collapsed due to the Babylonian invasion the Israelites fled. They went North. What is North of the land of Israel? Europe is. Great documentary! One finicky thing. Unlike B.C., C.E., or B.C.E, the correct usage of “A.D.” technically places the abbreviation before the year in question (E.g. A.D. 425). This is due to its Latin construction. Most people get this wrong. And one might argue that common usage dictates a language. But you seem like the kind of gent who appreciates accuracy in the details. Again, great video-very informative!

Robert I (11 July 1274 - 7 June 1329), popularly known as Robert the Bruce (Medieval Gaelic: Roibert a Briuis; Modern Scottish Gaelic: Raibeart Brus; Norman French: Robert de Brus or Robert de Bruys; Early Scots: Robert Brus; Latin: Robertus Brussius), was King of Scots from 1306 to his death in 1329. Robert was one of the most famous warriors of his generation and eventually led Scotland during the First War of Scottish Independence against England. He fought successfully during his reign to regain Scotland's place as an independent country and is now revered in Scotland as a national hero.

I am descended from King Duncan and Malcolm Canmore. I danced with a Scottish dance group when I was younger. I learned the Scottish sword dance which was danced before a battle. It was said if the dancer didn't touch the sword with his foot, the battle would be won. I also learned the Highland Fling , which was a victory dance. I started dancing when I was 7 years old. My 62 year old body can't dance anymore but my mind still remembers every step.

These are the kind of details I wonder endlessly about when it comes to historic topics - how kingdoms formed and ended, what came before and in between, etc. They say I'm weird, but I almost exclusively watch and read historic things (with a little science sprinkled in) but somehow, I still learn new things every day. I mean, I know some about Scotland and England's history (very fascinating to me) but I still get certain tribes, groups and kingdoms mixed up and who came first and after, etc - basically, exactly the things you are clarifying here. I recently found out through ancestry research that I'm almost entirely Scottish - my surname, literally my screen name here (minus the numbers), is directly from Scotland - Blalack = Blacklocke. This, after thinking I was German my entire life - so Scotland is extra interesting to me now. Also, wasn't Columba supposedly the first person to record seeing the Loch Ness monster?

@@lyndsaycrawford i would maybe draw peoples attention to Mel Gibson as the main problem with braveheart. The one thing we know is the title of the film is misleading. The brave heart is the one of robert the bruce taken , some of the way on crusade. When i mentioned mel gibson i should have made my idea more clear. He and his father are staunch Catholics. The English after especially after Henry the v111 went against the papacy. I just saw this and his film the Patriot as an anti english protest. If you watch the one about the south Americans its like they will be civilized by the spanish catholic ships just off shore at the end. No history here just a (maybe) imagined agenda.
