Thanks, great info, I never thought of attaching a keyboard to restart in safe mode! I did have problems with a cheap OTG cable that sent it into a loop! So maybe don't buy REAL cheap OTG's! LOL

True! Some of the cheap cables don't send enough power and will cause the bootloop problem.

How do I know which remotes work for fire sticks. I have four with original boxes . Don’t know which one goes which one yes I bought two from Amazon and one from Best Buy. Also says no internet connection. But that’s not true because I use Wifi from spectrum Help please!

It worked for me just had to use the actual power block that came with it . I was using the USB port before. I guess it needed more power

I forgot one thing in this video. Overheating! Make sure things are cool, otherwise your Firestick may bootloop.

What is the gadget to which you connected firetv stick ? Is it modem or router ?

I don't understand. My first option was to check the power supply. Second is Safe Mode. None of the options I provide in this video should clear your settings.

@StreamersWorld if I get past the loading screens and am watching something via app and it exits out back to the black Amazon loading screen about every 2 minutes after watching something is it still considered a boot loop? And what is a way to narrow down if a certain app is causing problems?

I tried this but I noticed that the number lock light on the keyboard wont light up but when I tried ot with a working stick the keyboard light works did anyone ever come up with a answer to this problem

Check the power block to see if you're supplying enough power. Otherwise you can maybe try a wireless keyboard that uses batteries.

I have tried the keyboard method with no results. The Firestick won't go into safe mode and is stuck at the Firestick logo. I'm using a wireless keyboard with the USB dongle plugged into OTG cable, power in and power out to the Firestick. Do I need to be using a wired keyboard?

I wireless keyboard should work just as well. Are there lights to indicate the keyboard is connected? If you have no luck, I would definitely try a wired keyboard.

No. The menu button has a rectangle with 3 horizontal lines in it.

Sounds like you have an app installed that is causing issues. Is this a Fire TV television set or a Firestick or FireTV box this is happening with?

I have 5 of these installed. One got stuck. I pulled and replaced it with a 4k version. All that really has to happen (Amazon, are you LISTENING?) is: Amazon, STOP PUSHING updates that your assclown code writers haven’t fully tested!!!

i just did this today to fix my firestick 4k after amazon customer support told my firestick hardware issue and to buy new device. Not sure if amazon support gets good training to assist customer. Thanks for the tips

So this hapd to me also after a mandatory system update. I kinda feel that Amazon did a rough patch to make it reboot through the system update. In simple terms - Amazon is saying, you have used it for more than 18-24 months, now it's time to buy a new one. I checked with many of my friends who had the same issue, and everyone had a system update a week or fortnight before the issue started. Amazon is behaving cheap.

congratulations for the excellent and clear explanation. after launching the "adb kill-server" command, the "Launcher" folder is not created. I try the same to run the command "adb devices" but from the list of devices there is not the fire stick and its serial number that I still have on the fire box. what can I do?

I had the issue of setup screens looping again and again after factory reset. I tried everything on all these youtube videos but nothing worked. I left it plugged in overnight (with wifi connected) and the problem got solved.

A mouse kind of works too, though it's difficult to see where the mouse pointer is on the screen. You can also try a video game controller.

I was using the keyboard to navigate. But you should be able to use the remote as well.
