I had the loop boot issue years ago when i plugged the USB into my projector to watch movies outside. After figuring out it was low amperage out of the projectors USB, I found there is a power booster unit you can get that plugged into the projectors USB to the firestick. It has been working great ever since.

I did have this issue I did think it was because it was getting hot! So I plugged in a hdmi cable long enough to take it well away from back of TV use one of those hdmi connectors plug the firestick into that also using amazon's ethernet connector to avoid WiFi issues. With the firestick now being in the open air so to speak never got boot looped again (so far, been 2 years).

I had same problem iv done all you tips that u mentioned but reset it. what I did do is unplug it from my extension cable iv got so mutch plugged in to it this can cause static in the extension cable that worked for me i used to have same problem with me tv to used to switch it self on and off hope this works.

Along with the power plug, I found using a cheap USB cable also prevented the power needed to boot up the fire stick caused issues as well. So a decent USB cable should be checked as well, especially if you use the USB port on the TV to power your fire stick

Thanks for this information. How do I fix a loading issue of channels? I can get on bbc 1 and sport channels but nothing else loads I just get the blue circle constantly going round with the seconds timer coming up but nothing loads. Even the Amazon support couldn’t get it working

"Knock on wood" my 1yr old Fire Cube 3rd gen has only frozen once and just unplugged it. I do however manually check for updates daily and also do a "restart" every 4-6days regardless of issues or not. For my use case the Fire Cube will NOT run off a USB port on the TV and requires the power-brick that ships with the device. I've previously been through a TON of the cheap Firesticks and they all would shit-out just after the warranty period and Amazon did NOTHING for me each time! I then switched to Google TV via. a Dyna-Link setup but then a year ago I cut out my cable and KZbin TV would NOT work on it so, I then bought the Fire Cube 3rd gen with total voice control. Just my opinion, but the latest Fire Cube has been the cat's meow for me and is by FAR better than ANY Google product but, can't recommend it for everyone as it's "pricey" but worth it for me with all it's features that works FLAWLESS with older TV and hardware that I have yet controls them all and the "voice" control works great with KZbin TV.

I've got three firesticks all powered by TVs surely by turning the TV off at night the firestick will reboot on startup thus eliminating any chance of freezing just make sure on updates you don't turn off in mid update had my three about 2016 and the other two 2017 I've found UK power is plenty sufficient to power a firestick from a TV and ive up to yet had zero problems

I had the issue with the extender I was trying to create more storage space and I hooked one up it worked for a a month then made the stick go I to a loop I had to remove it to get the stick to work right

What you're saying sounds like the problem I was having. I bought a non dongle blue tooth mouse. Paired it up straight to stick under Controllers and Bluetooth devices, then other Bluetooth devices, add bluetooth devices. Mine works awesome. Was a Technet mouse on sale for 12.49 plus check off 25% coupon will apply on checkout, I got it for 9.37. It works for me. Now that's here in USA. Not sure if or what is avaliable in Netherlands. Might be something that'll work for you. Ray

My summery of a firestick is as follows. Upload this, download that, power on, power off, change settings, oh!, change setting again cos Amazon did this and that, sideload this, sideload that, uninstall this so you can tweek and install that, but don't forget to change settings for all the other settings or you won't be able to tamper with that app that needs fiddling with so you can watch videos on how to mess with a firestick. Bin them and use absolutely anything else or you will spend more time messing with the damn thing than actually watching something. 😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅

I have a 2nd generation firetv box. It is stuck on Amazon fading in and out with the power light fading in and out. I think it doesn't get enough power but the power cord doesn't have the end that can be changed to a power block. It only has a pointed end that can't be changed to a power block
