Firestick Running Slow? Not Anymore...

One thing I did when I first got mine (it's a version 2 I think) was to lower the res to 760 even though I've a big TV. I'm perfectly happy with that and that made a difference. I think it used to overheat and lock up actually from memory, this helped stop that.

I for one do not mind the long videos. I hate other providers that skip around and omit important information that viewers need. Keep up the good work!

my third gen is pretty fast but I don't have a ton of apps downloaded either if you find a few that's right for you then that's all you need. Wish there was away to uninstall pre installed apps

Hi. Since day one this firestick is slow when switching channels on an IPTV account i have. Im also running a vpn . Any other stick when I switch channels are most instantly this stick will take time to load the channel. So going from channel to channel on an IPTV is painful and it takes at least 5 -10 seconds to switch. HELP, as i dont want to throw these things out.

Hi Adam, the only gripe I have with my fire stick 4k ( in the living room and bedroom) is when I am flicking say sky cricket to football for about 15 seconds the picture is very grainy then goes crystal clear, keep up the good work your info is awesome.

Hi Adam, I've got a 4k firestick max on a 4k ultra TV plugged in via USB into the TV. whenever I turn it on the screen flickers and only way to stop it is to put the resolution down to 1080/60 (which defeats the purpose) have you any tips to stop this please? many thanks

Hi bud. Do you use the Hdmi extender? Have you tried a different hdmi port? Have you tried powering from the plug to test? A few things you can test out bud 🍻

I have upcoming travel where Internet service will be spotty to nonexistent. I will have access to a TV with HDMI inputs along with a ROKU 4K Stick and a Fire TV Stick 4K. In the past I've tried streaming to both the ROKU and Firestick without Internet with no luck. Is there some technique for making this work? Assuming you can NOT stream to ROKU and Firestick with no Internet is there a way to connect a USB drive with movies on it to a ROKU 4K Stick and use the ROKU media player. I have one of the OTA cables mentioned on this channel for sharing USB devices with a Firestick which I think should work for the Firestick.

I'm sick of restarting my bedroom 4k FS, at least twice a wk I switch on, notice that the icons and suggestions are slowly loading then I totally lose everything & says disconnected from WiFi when its still connected,says no internet, can take a couple of restarts before it connects again, tried forgetting network connecting again, still doing it, Fire TV cube more reliable for me,4k Max also does it less frequently

I Need Help. I am a aide I take care of a Veteran 73 yrs old. He has a firetv. I had it up & running when I was first hired a year ago. Unfortunately I went to work & everything disappeared. I have my firestick's power connected to a smart plug. I tell alexa to turn off firestick when I am done using it. My cords are behind the tv and not easy to unplug manually.
