I apologize to everyone for my lack of videos over the past few months, I have just been very busy with my personal life and haven't been making as many calls. I am however trying my best to get more videos out there for you guys! I read and appreciate all the comments you leave and I look forward to many more. fucking fire burnt itself out before you arrived ....nice work guys , i have never used the delayed arrival method LOL
@HobbyOrganist3 жыл бұрын
In all these videos 2 things always seem to be the case- 1) by the time the fire dept is called, it's essentially too late, and 2) it takes forever to get water on the fire with the current system of setting up the rig, dragging out hoses, hooking them up to each other and to a hydrant that could be 200 feet or more away while the fire grows exponentially by the second, by this point there's no saving a residence- at best it's to keep the fire from spreading to adjacent way too closely situated houses. I don't know what the solution is other than residential fire sprinker systems and building houses like they do in Slovakia and Romania- out of hollow kiln fired red clay blocks about 10" deep, faced with stucco on the exterior, and kiln fired red clay roofing tiles instead of highly flammable asphalt shingles that on a hit sunny day must already be around 150 degree and a lot closer to their ignition temperature! We build these houses in America made of solidified gasoline, that are just waiting for a little spark or some stupid appliance like an automatic coffee maker or humidifier housed in flammable PLASTIC to start on fire to go up in a massive fire that consumes half the house before the FD even gets on the scene! The houses today are made out of cheap flammable chipboard, styroam or other flammable insulation, covered with flammable plastic siding, full of more chipboard floors, MDF cabinets, MDF upholstered furniture, and a roof topped with more chipboard and flammable asphalt roofing, something needs to change in this country!
@dannysullivan6333 жыл бұрын
I think a good start would be to have more hydrants so the initial layout is no more than 2 lengths of hose to the appliance
@HobbyOrganist3 жыл бұрын
@@dannysullivan633 Yes but that is still limited by the hydrant's supply line, like opening more faucets in your house the same amount of water total is going to flow out AND at a lower pressure- its limited by the size and pressure of the supply line, what helps a lot more is larger and more main supply lines
