Stoked to see the board exactly where I’m going to be surfing most of the time. Picking my 5’6 up today from the warehouse. Thanks for the stoke see ya out there - probably at the point/hermos/south bird 👊🏾💥🤙🏾

Will it be your next board?
@ThomyeSurfs3 ай бұрын
@@tezf6883 no, I have a huge list at the moment. I'm totally interested though because RM's boards have all been so good for me at my break. So unless firewire lines it up and scores me a demo, likely I won't review it till later when it becomes more available. I have a new AIPA release, Twinsman, and a few others I'm queuing up. But the board looks sick and I'm glad it is in Helium. Perfect for my typical waves.

Thanks mate. I still can't believe when I went to edit clips the fast one Surfline did on me with their update (still love you Surfline)... Luckily was able to redeem myself a bit there, but looking to join your solo shot type content soon. Well in a similar relm ;) stay tuned, 'big things coming' as the kids cringinley say. Would LOVE to own one of these (maybe in the future) - too bad I just got that Mashup haha (but that board is more knifey and in a slightly different category).

hello i was wondering how tall are you and how much do you weight to ride the 37.6L , i ride similar liters and feel comfortable with 36,5L to 38L , also did you ride it in 4 to 6 ft?thanks ps: i hav rideen the sweet potato in 4ft to 5ft no problem at all , i am sure the machacado is more maneuverable with the twin +1...

Thanks for the comment. I am 5'10 172-ish pounds. If you feel comfortable with the liters you listed, the 5'10 makes sense for you. It feels perfect for me - I like more volume in my boards too. I did not ride it in bigger surf yet, although I think it would do ok in 4-6ft, with maybe 6ft getting to the 'maxed out level' - unless you throw in a set of large tri fins. Than may hold better in much larger surf. I've seen videos of Rob ride it in bigger surf and wasn't sliding out with the 2 plus 1. Yes I think it's more maneuverable than the Sweet Potato - seems to do better in the pocket as is a bit more top to bottom surfing. So yes I'd think it is better to shred critically if as you suggest.

It's a Firewire Baked Potato

Twice baked I think

You're right, very similar in board outline, but def different in how it will ride. The nose on the Machadocado is not as wide, the tail isn't as wide either. The outline stays a bit more straight. Also this 5'10 is about 38 liters. The Potato's at this size are around 44/45 L. Seems Firewire now has streamlined the Potato series to the 'Sweet Potato' - which has the swallow tail and 5 fin. So perhaps this is the 'new' Baked Potato, but I think a good bit more performancy - and the fact it's a tri fin means it will surf a lot more in the pocket. Looking forward to trying the Sweet Potato soon.
