the saw blade should already have the next piece cut before the splitter is finished with it's current piece of log.

Not bad, but why would you ave the saw come towards you? Swap sides with it, if something flies off like a tooth, you're the first one to find it... in your head.

+kleetus92 Having worked in a sawmill for 17 years, the safest place to stand is where he is. The blade is spinning clockwise, so if anything goes wrong it goes to the back of the guard.
