Just a question, what happens if a round does not break all the way through and the auto cycle pulls that return arm on top of the boxwedge back? Would it bend the arm?

Yes it is possible to bend the arm if the auto cycle returns and a piece is stuck on the wedge. That's why it's still important to pay attention even with auto cycles and box wedges.

That is a bit of a trade off with a box wedge, but much easier on the body for re-splitting rather than having to handle chunks of wood over & over again.
