I remember seeing those large wheels, mines, roman candle pots, setpieces, fountains etc on sale in larger firework retailers, they weren't cheap but they were quite impressive for their size and the performance was excellent.

"That's gun powder going in now" it was actually bentonite clay which is compressed and acts as a plug.

Yes, the gunpowder is black-greyish. Not that reporters today are better. Here in Sweden they call all firework pieces "rockets"🙄

Mr tester likes "golden rain" (Oooh err, misses) and is not standing 30 ft away from a lit firework. Mr tester is a naught man.

Ironic that the Chinese own the company now, a loss to the UK and my home town to see another business sold off abroad.

Did some research a few years ago, try my utmost to avoid buying made in China goods. Seemingly too much legislation in the UK to produce fireworks these days. The last uk manufacture defectived to China a few years ago, namely Kimbolton fireworks.

Why on earth don't they wear gloves when making fireworks, it's such an easy thing to do for protection?
@mfx12 жыл бұрын
Makes you clumsy and doesn't really offer anything much in the way of protection.

Accidents are rare and were rare even back then, but *if* they happen, you're not likely to survive at all.

You also won't find any metal to create sparks in those sheds and they have to wear rubber soles. @@francisdec1615
