Firing pin hole Bushing for Savages, Fixes cratered primers, off center holes etc..

Since there was absolutely nothing on KZbin on how to do this I put together a video on how to bush your bolt.
This is a safe and reliable process that has been proven hundreds of times.

This is what I have been looking for. There are thousands of Bergara rifles being talked about blowing out primers and this is what they need. There firing pin is way over sized.

Do you do this for the Ruger Precision? Have have the same cratering but know that it is due to a loose firing pin.

Do you take .001-.002 off the ejector after truing the bolt face? You don't want excessive extrusion

The savages have so much back travel I have only found it necessary on one rifle. That particular rifle was being rechambered for a wildcat that had a thicker rim and needed the face pushed back almost .020. Now lightening the ejector spring I do recommend. Just grind a small amount off. Never cut the springs. You cant remove material in a fine enough increment.

The way 308W/6.5CM ammunition is manufactured is slightly too high pressure plus the firing pin hole is oversized causing primer material to flow into the firing pin hole causing a stoppage AR10/308 BCG; JP Enterprise Enhanced BCG not cheap but solved the problem with a firing pin/hole.

Yes Hornady upped the PSI limit without changing the design of the case about a year after they first made it. Has caused issues ever since.

In some cases yes. Many only get turned back .002 and that is less then is necessary to modify head spacing. But I can do them without changing head spacing. I always ask my customer before I start cutting.

Usually set it to 21lbs. Factory tends to be 24-27
