Oh boy… if it was your intention to spark yet another conversation about solvents, good job. Can’t wait to see “been using mobile 1 since Fallujah, works great.” Thanks for the vid

Mobile 1 is good stuff just a little hard to get it into cracks and small parts like I can with CLP. It's also more of a lubricant than a rust preventer. Each one has its own uses. :) As for the controversy. Bring it on lol

Love my savage rifles. I have a video suggestion. Can you do a overall review of the model 10/110 to go over the cons, and how we can improve upon the cons to make a solid rifle?

Looks like the video skips a chunk of the reassembly around the 11.40 mark - any chance you can edit to include? Otherwise, super helpful - thank you!

You are right, I'll upload it with all the video.

What is that plastic support/organizer you used to support the bolt during disassembly? It looked handy!

Did you say Remington oil is like sulfur?
@GrimstodDesh Жыл бұрын
Salt. There have been tests done with it and stuff sprayed with it actually rusted faster.

I installed a lift kit on my savage axis xp and it has the new trigger setup and I bought they one that’s 2019+ and it’s even harder to lift than without it. Can you help
@GrimstodDesh Жыл бұрын
Something is not assembled right then. Take it apart and redo the process. This fixes it most of the time.

ER Shaw makes decent ones. But really it's been a long time since I went barrel shopping myself.

Sent you an email using your contact form on website. Are you still doing bolt work?
@davidschneider7677 Жыл бұрын
Dang, I’m gonna have to send my bolt back to you just to clean it. 😂
@GrimstodDesh Жыл бұрын
I can do that. Shipping would probably cost just as much as the work.

Same! My bolt had blue loctite on the BAS screw. Took an impact wrench just to disassemble my bolt😂

Why is rem oil so bad????
@GrimstodDesh10 ай бұрын
Every corrosion test I have seen done with it shows it rusts faster then if if you spray it with salt.
@SL-sy8ix10 ай бұрын
I call BS on the statement that Rem Oil will make guns rust. I have used it for years and so have plenty of other folks without any ill effects. Also, if you don't want 100 parts to have to take apart on your bolt don't buy a Savage rifle. A bolt from most any other brand of rifle won't have a bag full of parts like the Savage bolts have.
