At 18:45 your coin is a 1928 German - Weimar Republic 0.50 Reichspfinnig, Composition is Nickel, Mint Mark "A" is for the Berlin Mint, Minted from 1927 to 1938. It may be worth a few dollars. The lapel pin at 3:56 looks like an NYPD Motor (Motorcycle) Squad Pin. The shield looks like a NYPD Patrol Shield and the Winged Wheel represents Motor Squads. I couldn't find anything for that pin so I don't know the vintage. Love your videos. You had a great day, congratulations. The Manhattan Project Pin IS better than Sushi.
@JC-xf5xb

Hi Merrill, At 3:40. The Lapel Pin you found looks to me to be a NYC Police Motor (motorcycle) Unit Pin. The shield is a NYPD Shield and the winged wheel is a Motor Squad/Unit Insignia. It even has the clasps, unbelievable, they always fall off.

@@kic7009 Except that's not an NHL Shield and that's not a Red Wings logo. An NYPD Shield is flat at the upper corners just like on Merrills pin. An NHL Shied is concave at the upper corners. A Red Wings wing is slightly concave within the wheel and then mostly Convex from the wheel hub up. On Merrills pin the wing is concave from the hub up. Two very distinct differences. The Red Wings wings are all curved on the top. On Merrills pin the wing has a point on the top. Nice try though, thanks for playing.

The mystery piece looks like an old piece of conveyor belt splicing. There would be one on both ends of the belt. The loops would fit together and a pin would pass between them.

1:50 gotta look for bones when you find a shoe like that :) ... over here on the west coast, roughly once or twice a year a foot is found like that. It's been studied and thought to actually be a reasonable frequency of occurences for how the ocean currents work, and how often people are lost out to sea. I have my own theory. Erosion of the foothills. ... I really hope that the headlands remain intact!
