Details in the video description. I'm sorry for including this one, I'm honestly a newbie at this and didn't know of the issues around this upgrade. thank you all for educating me on this and sharing resources with me. - Cost for all the upgrades (not including the raspberry pi): $138 Q: Why did you buy a 3D printer just to print upgrades?!? A: Because I'm a gooof.... and I just like to get the upgrades all over with at the start so afterwards I can focus on my projects and not have to worry about printing issues. In fact, just to make sure I don't get addicted to making upgrades, I'm forcing myself to make at least 2 videos that are non-upgrade related before I make the part 2 video for this. Q: When is part 2 coming? A: Sooooon-ish? I'm still waiting for a few upgrade parts to arrive in the mail and working on a few other projects at the moment so it'll take a while. I'll give updates in my next few videos. Q: What's your printing profile? Can you share it? A: I'm using Maker's Muse's profile from this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/lYK1k2hqr7uDnLM I'm also using that profile for PETG too with just modified temperature settings. Q: Why would you do this when the Ender 3 v2 and CR-6 SE already have a lot of these upgrades pre-installed? A: Because when I bought the Ender 3 Pro, the v2 and CR-6 SE hasn't been released yet :( I still really like the ender 3 pro but I would also highly recommend the Ender 3 v2 if you're looking to buy Associate link (cheapest): rb.gy/wwgxzx Amazon: amzn.to/2PFBCnM Q: Why the baby? A: Why not the baby? I'll add more as more questions come in. Cheers!

Replace the stock hot end fan with a Noctua, much quieter. Maybe a PiCam too so you can watch your print progress and do timelapses via OctoPrint. Also look at getting metal X and Y belt tensioners.

If it makes you feel better, the amount of "upgrades" i have done only to realize that they were made by someone who didn't think it through and then need to remove it has been at least 10 times on my 2017 CR-10! ill often tell my girlfriend how i cant print a planter for her because this new upgrade is going to be a game changer and then later that day when she sees me throw the completed print away i usually have to explain! hahahah BTW, Linear rails on X and Y are huge too

Loving these upgrades and I've done a load of similar or the same ones myself. Have to say though the best upgrade I got for my Ender 3 V2 was a 2nd Z motor and screw assembly. It stops gantry sag completely and really squares up your prints - noticeable on taller prints or when you really really need things to be perfectly square.

i have most of these upgrades. i have dual Z rods and dual Z step motors as extra. 🙂 A useful upgrade. Also, in my octopi setup, I use another adapter for raspberry and lights. I use relays. Two for lights, one for printer PSU. So i can open and close printer itself. i have two different temperature sensors. One is on output of PSU fan. if one of them gets hot, relays close. Also octopi alerts me by emailing me. i am using standard raspberry camera for monitoring and timelapse. I don't have the controller card upgrade. That is nice.

I really really really like your videos. I get that it may not be feasible, but I would love for you to make more content. I love the video editing and the dry whit. Also it appears that if there is any theme outside of your printer builds, it's creating content for content creators (video production etc) and either of those themes would make me super happy to see more of. If nothing else please consider this a compliment. You are one of the best (and underrated) content creators on KZbin.

nice vid well edited and presented. i recently got a 3 pro aq couple days after i started using it i would get a total random temp runaway error, creality was of no use , so decided to get the all metal direct drive so everything the feed and hotend all metal and as one unit. decided doing that i may as well add a cr touch probe , not come the hard part i still have to original 4.2.2 board and same lcd display you have and the firmware available from creality is either the probe OR the upgrade hot end kit they do not have have the firmware for both ended up having to get software and basic core from marlin and set up own. i already made some of the upgrades you did before seeing this plus upgrade the bed leveling springs to a better quality and slightly stiffer then the original and plan on a few additional upgrades glass bed different motherboard lights as you put , already added the x - y tension adjustable kit made a small adaptor so i could put an inch lb torque meter on it to see how much i had them tightened so both have equal pressure to move the head going to make an adaptor to go to torque head to get same tension on the slides rollers also whit a torque wrench, ( i may make a different adjusted for the rollers i am a tool and die maker )

I hope you don't mine me asking, but with newer printers like the Bambu Labs offerings, would you think it would be better to go in that direction as someone new to 3d Printing, or would you think the Ender 3 Pro would be a great place to start? WARNING THIS INFORMATION IS BASED OF *MY* CONCLUSION OF *MY OWN* RESEARCH AND KNOWLEDGE. I suggest not using the sd card to micro sd adapter, I can’t get into specifics, but basically 3d print data straight from the usb source file in real time, using the micro usb and direct printing makes print quality worse, it’s all about the baud rate of the serial bus. This is a very simple explanation research it:)
