I had the 2008 675se with the black and gold. Over 4 years I regularly tracked it and did a fair few multi day tours on it. The bike never failed to put a smile on my face. Fitting a quick shifter is a game changer. Allows you to be in the power band in 2nd and change up during an overtake to keep it in the power band. The midrange torque is madness. It’s the least silly of the sports bikes for the road in my opinion. As you alluded to, the soundtrack of the bike equals happiness. I found the same issue with the seat. It’s not until you push your bum back and then hang off do you realise the seat position is spot on. Pushing back through your legs, not your arms. Under heavy braking you do end up against the tank.

I'm 40 and just starting on Sunday coming to get my bike licence. Everything you described about riding is what I want. It's not for commuting, it's for fun and mental health, and I can't wait to own a bike and go for a ride.

Congratulations, welcome brother. If I can give unsolicited advice? Don't bother trying to buy a bike with your head. Buy with your heart and accept there will be many bikes in your journey. Peace. Ride safe

I had an aprillia rs125 gp1 eddition 20 years ago and woke up with an itch to jump back on a bike. Having seen and ludicrously happy you are everytime you look at yours it made my mind up for me. Got the ok from the wife going to get my direct access sorted as soon as I can. After lotts of googling decided I eventually want a daytona (everyone says great bike and british made) came across your vid and was shocked when I recognised alot of the roads and commute over the orwell every day to get to work. Keep it up bud enjoy the bike

It's funny to hear all of the words you're saying Adam, 17 year old Ben would have agreed. It kinda reminded me why I fell in love with bikes, I am bikeless for the first time in 15 years. I do miss riding but I've made the swap over to cars from bikes. With regards to the seating position, you wanna have the balls of your feet on the pegs pushing down through them and squeezing the tank with your inner knees.

Ha you just went past my old primary school in Lawford. That bit of road is one of my favourites through Mistley, Wrabness 👍

Just come back from a ride out on the Street Triple RS Moto2 Edition and this is perfectly timed watching! I still even now call things Speed Triples when they’re Street Triples too! Enjoy it dude. As you say, best therapy! Cardo PackTalk with music playing and some EarPeace Moto Pro with 20dB reduction earplugs do make riding with music really good!

Nice E92! I really need to give the Daytona a test ride. I'm quite conscious of how small they look as i'm a bit on the tall side(6'3"). I've got a list as long as my arm of bikes i'm weighing up for my next bike as i've had a break from them for a few years after I did my 8th winter in a row commuting on two wheels but i'm aching to get back into bikes.

Beautiful bike! Think I've said that before haha! Well done for owning it and LOVING IT. I might have said that before as well haha! I haven't ridden for years, and if my wife continues to have her way I'll never ride again. That makes me feel very sad, so watching you enjoy yours helps me...a bit...I think? 😆 Great to hear it's helping you mentally. I fully understand where you're coming from. I still remember how good it felt taking the long way home on my ZX6 all those years ago ♥️ Camera angle is great imho. Nice one 👌🏼

Very nice mate. I've been looking for something sporty to buy next and I wanted something with low down torque. After some reading up I think I've found the one. Plus, I love black and gold. My E46 M3 is just the same. Thanks for your honest review
