It depends on your location. In Australia, you'd use a compression bandage over the site of the bite, and then use a compression bandage up and down the the whole limb, and not move the victim under their own power at all. You don't cut/bite/suck or clean the wound, or use a torniquet. There's also a polyvalent antivenom that can be used to treat most snake bites in Australia. BUT, you wouldn't do this for American snakes as the venom is necrotic to flesh and using a compression bandage is a pretty good way to get a limb needing to be amputated.

Point to make to viewers: Dont apply bandages to russel sniper snake bitten victim as it can cause gangrene. I heard about this in another video. Unless and untill you know the type it's better not to apply bandage.

@@ricocapitan4944 It'd good thst you make that distinction, most guides are for people who have access to medical care more immediately I think it's good to mention that. although a tournaquet can help, it will also lead to higher possiblility of amputation, so should only be reserved for special cases where there is no help viably available. people might assume the wrong idea by the lack of context in your comment, the way I did, this is why I asked about your status regarding this procedure.

ummmm, NO......recommend first aid (in an ideal world) is to apply a bandage over the initial bite site, then apply a compression bandage, then mobilise the bitten limb.....somehwere in that sequence you call an ambulance........DO NOT suck the venom or wash the area...........this video truly sucks and you don't know what you're talking about
