Rauta had the special occassion to do the first Archgoat video interview ever anywhere and we had some nice batch of beers to go with it. Ritual Butcherer sat down for some 30 mins of talk and beer about black metal, touring, ideas, new album and beers, of course! Step in!

Fantastic interview. Thanks a million for this. Its a treat to see Ritual Butcherer give his opinions on politics in black metal, Archgoat and beer. I would have liked some questions to be aimed more towards the occult and blasphemous themes expressed in their music, nonetheless it was a pleasure to hear the insights given on other topics. This makes me want a Lord Angel Slayer review next. By the way his closing statement "Stay out of Black Metal", I couldnt agree more.

the lead singer of archgoat has deep vocals i honestly think he could be the new lead singer of bloodbath. The current Lead singer of bloodbath is no where near the orginal bloodbath vocals and doesnt have the power to do the vocals. but i think the lead singer of archgoat has the power and strenght to do those Death metal vocals. i know this is black metal but i just wanted to share because damn his vocals are so fuckin Brutal and deep! Sorry but Nature, Forest etc. is a big part of Black Metal, look at bands like Paysage d'Hiver (translated it's winter landscape). or all those album covers with forests, or winter. Only because his band don't write texts about this stuff doesn't mean its not Black Metal...

I think his overall point was that those who don't have an underlying theme of Satanism (or at the very least, occultism or an occult-based religion/ideology/spirituality, although there's a chance his views may be strictly about it being satanic/satanism only) should not be performing black metal. The mention of nature was just one of many examples of bands who side-track from the main point, because it has become one of many clichés of black metal. This isn't to say one cannot have nature or whatever the artist desires to have involved in their art, but to not steer away from the main point of black metal. Basically, it was an easy cheap shot to communicate a larger message.
