Start with purchasing the firearm first, then engraving and selling.. that way if you fail it won’t affect your reputation. I would do that until I became capable and comfortable to handle customer guns. Good luck to you!

Curious about the settings. I use a 50W jpt. And guy that taught me about guns never did a full piece clean up pass. Also what do you do with said piece after engraving?

i mean you dont have to do a clean up pass, if you cerakote it after you will have to sandblast it and that will do the same thing then. and post laser is cerakote.

I'm assuming each pass is a different layer in your software program? I run a C02 laser, but am curious how the fibers work on designs like this. For the C02, I run a different layer for each type of pass; engrave or cut.

@@FragoutDesign so you design all the artwork (or most of it) and you are able to etch that into metal? That’s impressive, I imagine drawing comes naturally to you? I’m in the 3d printing business(very very small side gig) and I think it’s awesome when someone wants me to print their idea. I have fun building things in a 3d world. I got it 3d printing and some airbrushing because it was a birthday gift. I didn’t realize how much fun I would have doing it until I jumped right in. I might make a sale or two every once in a while, but I absolutely have more fun making things for myself 😎. Lasers are cool, and you are doing fantastic work!

it does till you sand blast it. and it's fun man definitely recommend it if you want to do it. gets frustrating at times and in the beginning but totally worth it.
