DBXL isn't a bad price. It's a 29 cc where the 5ive T is 32 cc. Save up your money cause I can't stress enough how sweet the 5ive T is even in stock form. Quite a lot of power for what it is. I've had mine since about mid fall and I'm spoiled now. Run times are the same as if I had twelve 3s batteries for my Super Rock Rey. The 5T uses a lipo for the receiver but it's small and will run you practically all day. I've got the 7200 killer RC lipo pack and I can get three 45 minute runs with 1/4 tank left after each run and at the end still have 3.9 volts per cell. I don't run mine till low voltage because of a possible runaway. I do have a Killswitch but it is always better to avoid using it. The 5T doesn't come with a Killswitch and I would highly recommend it being a purchase before you put your first tank of fuel through it. Even if you buy the dynamite large scale Killswitch, it is a easy install. Far easier than you'd expect. 8 mm drill is the only thing you would need becides your basic set of large scale tools. I put my led into the battery tray on the side the wires sit in and it is easy to see. I hope you do get one as these things are on another level.

The Losi 5ive T is definitely running strong and making some power. More gear will certainly give you more top end speed and it shouldn’t hurt the bottom end too much at all. 30/50 gearing should be perfect with the standard height BRP knobbies tires. For the suspension, try 50 weight shock oil and DDM HD Losi 5ive springs. I run these on my Losi 5ive mini with a 65cc supreme and I have no bottoming out of the suspension at all. Just a thought! That thing must be 45-50 pounds. Mine is still stock with a few outerwears and a Killswitch. Lol. I've got to many projects and new RCs to put too much time and money in my 5ive T. Just got a new Losi LMT and am doing a 16s conversion on my SBR. I do want one of those 30 degree north bodies, not because my original is messed up but because they look nice on the 5T. MGM is some good stuff as far as electric goes. I run electric, nitro, and 2 stroke. I've currently got 13. 2 of which are planes and 1 is a boat. Another boat coming and also want to get the DBXL. I might get a 45 cc ALX for the 5 and put the 32 into the DBXL.

I love my MCD's but 2nd choice buggy would be TLR 5ive-B. Big block or small? 4wd I wouldn't go much higher than 55 supreme. I have a big block 5ive-B coming in the lab soon.

All depends on what's your cup of tea bro. Also depends on how much coin you want to spend. LOL. The 5ive platform is pretty much flawless out the box. You can start out with the 32 supplied engine then work up to a big block while upgrading the drivetrain and suspension to handle the power of the big block. If your more into 2wd then strip the rovan down and build it up to a beast like my 85 baja. Aint much HPI left in my baja neither. You can take steps with that too. A good OBR or Bartolone engine will do both wonders!

I dont like gas RC's but i think i changed my mind. Im looking to buy a new RC as my 2nd RC as my first is a 6s Kraton V2. My budget is prob $2k or more so no idea. Losi 5ive-t seems like a good start. Dont know what you did for the engine if its stock or not or a whole new engine but it was a beast.

@Duncan De hulst I would use somewhere around 25wt-35wt. The only problem is the springs are really soft and the rear likes to drag a little. You can get better springs at DDM. They sell a HD spring assortment for losi 5ive.

The center diff, engine mount, and f/r center cvd I believe all are different between the 1.0 and 2.0.

Mainly just lazy. Too many bolts/pins to hookup to put the body/cage on. Big diff from lexan 4 pin 8th scale bodies. Plus with the cage on its harder to get to the needles to tune. I'll get you some body running next time bro!
