Mate! Can't believe you dropped in. I've been watching your channel this winter and you gave me the motivation to go ahead and post my 1st video. Thanks for the inspo. Ride-On

I love how the Zwift KZbin community is so supportive of one another. I feel like we are in a treehouse with a "no parents allowed" sign above the entrance 😂

As a relatively new Zwift racer (2 weeks in), I'm subscribing! Hope to see more videos and track your progress! I think we are in a somewhat similar boat. My ZRS is 455 now and I'm almost at 4wkg at 72kg. I'm also making some videos, so if you wanna check mine out as well, let's goooo! Followed you on Zwift. Hope to race with you some day (whether it's random or not)! Don't worry about the sprint numbers. In my experience, indoor trainer sprinting shows numbers that are like 75% (maybe even less lol) of what you can do outdoor haha. Also, sprinting at the end of a hard race is like that lol Great job in the race!

That’s some pretty good power. I’ve got some cold feet before I try a C race haha. I like seeing those big power numbers, but especially on a ride where I’m pushing the whole time, those high watts seem to disappear at the end. Good stuff!

Thanks man! I think, like with my friend Steven who did the race with me, even if you don't hang with the front, there's still something to gain from finishing with a group off the back. Super workout and can still offer a lot. So far I feel you never really lose in these things

Nice video. Very good. Just a terrible last km. You missed the bus completly, although P1-3 was possible. Next time. I hope you are doing more vids and seeing you in a race. Best wishes to Paris 👋

Nice work What do you use to record the zwift action? Also what computer are you using?

Thanks! I'm on a mac using Streamlabs -which allows me to capture native as well as stream content.

Great race. Zwift rewards "long sprints" and holds speed, especially on speeds. I bet a little dig around 600m to go and then another at 250m would have got you closer to the front. The aero boost could have benefited around the 500m mark (when everyone else used theirs) as well
@jamesbrackcycling18 күн бұрын
@@jarretgosbee7717 okay great. Good to know. Looking back I think I can see everyone around me getting into some higher power much earlier and then doing full send as you say closer to sprint distance
@wizziiid17 күн бұрын
@@jamesbrackcyclingYeah for flat race finishes like this I try position behind front group with 1km left, then roll through at about 800m and activate the aero power up as I pass the front of the group, then just give it all for a minute until the end. You can even do this earlier if you have a good 1-2 min power!
@Lsleszynski8 күн бұрын
Very nice voice over. However feels like you were chilling. 300w ftp but only averaged 280 for 30min race. Could easly pull it off.

Thanks man! I think I do better with longer efforts. I'm also deep in a winter base phase, so not rested and haven't trained intensity/threshold much! I def wasn't holding back, unfortunately ;)

3.8 w/kg for a C race it’s too much. I believe with the new racing rank number A - B - C - D cat standards won’t apply anymore. Good power mate.
@jamesbrackcycling9 күн бұрын
Thanks man! Yeah I think the new category divisions might have made things tougher. I hadn’t raced in the old system, but I did another race this week and did the same power and found it almost difficult to hand on…in Cat C. Doing 6w/kg on 2 min climbs etc.
