This was the Fight to Win Tournament, Texas State Championships Men's 18-29 165lb White belt. My performance could have been better, but I had a lot of fun and a great time with the team!

Great job man. Really refreshing to see someone posting a first comp experience not hiding their loses and embracing the level they're at.

7:00 that’s actually a really common thing that wrestlers do when they have a guy in turtle

Thanks for posting! Really nice to see a "My first tournament" vid where they don't win every single match. More relate-able.

the funky open de la riva guard in the second fight looked to me to be single leg x-guard then he transitioned to a regular x-guard. Good work man! keep it up! Oss

Great video 👏👏👏. If I had to get that 1st guy deff had some wrestling experience. Every loss is a learning experience. (@ least that's how I look at it anyway lol)

It's called an oil check. My instructor (female) pulled that shit on me last week. Haven't seen it since my wrestling days lol
@killlo875 жыл бұрын

@@jafetosorio7358 I'm 5 months in with no stripes I'll wait 5 more months and do a comp I'm 115kg so it's a fitness thing for me and trying to stay injury free is hard
@jafetosorio73585 жыл бұрын
Maripo Labowski nice bro good luck yeah my coaches were telling me I did good for competing 2 months in I feel like it was a good way of testing my self. And yes being injury free is hard ! I literally just got home from practice with a tweaked neck smh /:

knee on belly is typically a trap if you go for it he attacks that arm lol
@johnhagebeuk85 жыл бұрын
That crotch grap is not normal its cheating. I would be very angry. Your movement looks great what my advise for you would be is start drilling armbars wristlocks anklelocks triangles and escapes. In my gym you can only join a competition when you have tree tripes as a white belt thats for safety and enjoyment of taking part at competitions
@TheLipeMussi5 жыл бұрын
Second dude doesn’t look like a white belt.. pulling to a single leg x..
