30 years ago the movie "first blood" was released. With world-wide success and cult like following. "Rambo" has become a franchise name. The stage was set in Hope B.C. The town has celebrated the 30 years in October 5th-8th 2012.
First Blood (also known as Rambo: First Blood or Rambo outside the US), is a 1982 action/adventure film directed by Ted Kotcheff.

Yep, its the truck. I was lucky to be part of both of both the last 2 videos. It was so dissapointing in a way not to find fragments of the original tarp that was worn by Stallone in the movie, however, it was great to have my tarp used in part 4 of Herve's OTS series, and part of it on the Rambo doll in this last installment. I remember first going with Scott and Herve, it was wierd, as I felt that I could almost imagine the cast and crew there some 25 years prior, it is a VERY eerie place!

A very great job, Herve! "Rambo - First Blood" is a very well-done movie. Good script, good actors, super action, fantastic locations. It is amazing that movie fans can visit the original locations of the film and do tours. There should be one or more tours with Sylvester Stallone... :-)

Yeah, that kinda surprised me too! Sad part of it is, now that more and more people are aware of that, the truck is being stripped. Look for earlier footage, and you'll see that the whole dashboard and steering wheel are stolen.

this is not being geeky. They dressed in john j.rambo for the purpose of the video and also to pay tribute on this specific filming location to their favorite movie. Any first blood hard core fans would do the same. Including me. :)

Here worked very hard to find those places. Herve had a rough idea where the Delmar property was, and had some information from Oliver of rambotown . net, then Scott Hardy finally found it by lining up the geology (mountains) until they lined up like in the movie. The junkyard was all down to Scott. He found an old trail map after hunting for the junkyard for a long while, and it was, for the best part untouched for 27 years. :-)

Wow, this is really cool Herve. I was in high school when this movie came out and I remember seeing it as a double feature with the movie Taps. I loved the movie when it came out. Of course as you look back it seems over the top but I would still very much like to visit Hope one day. But if I don't, I still have this video to watch. Thanks Herve!

How is it you can afford to travel the world making these videos? It much take so much scouting, time and planning, too! Really cool to watch, though. It'd be funny if you scouted the filming locations of very recent movies and set up little shots where you approached the same park bench where there was a McDonalds cup or something and then replaced it with an identical one and went up and took a sip or something. "Hmmmph...not bad," you could emote, shaking the cup, the ice rattling.
