First thing, I’m not a hater so don’t comment and say I am it’s more of advice. Start listening to what people are saying, people are always gonna know more than you especially ones that have done this a lot longer. Also that engine is way too loose in there. Those are all solid mounts that engine should not move at all. You should have started with a smaller project to practice your welding and learned what size steel to use for engine mounts. That pipe is too thin. But other than that keep going on the videos they are very entertaining. I like your ambition you just need to listen to what people are saying more

Unfortunately lots of safety issues with this build. The biggest one being the welds. The weld is just sitting on top of the metal with no penetration or strength. It might feel solid when you pull on it but trust me it will crack and break off. I enjoy your mini bike videos but this for me personally is just dragging on a bit now. Fair play for giving it a go though.

That motor should NOT move at all, the front mounts need to have some metal vertically welded to some tubing that runs or goes by the bottom of the Kart, you can't have it with just the tubes you have now, the easier way would have been to just use the frame from the bike (i.e. the engine cradle). You can get some "thin-wall" tubing for the muffler pipes. The chain tensioner's need to be on the slack side of the chain in your case the small chain needs to be on the bottom and the long chain needs to be on the top, the way you have it now is on the tension side of the chain and it will NOT last long. You welded the shiftier rod to the shiftier lever it will flex the rod every time you shift, Better off drilling a 1/16 hole threw the rod and using washers and a cotter pin. But I guess you have to learn things the hard way...

Aric barker I’m not saying anything bad about it though so don’t portray it, A burnout on a sheet of plywood while wet isn’t that impressive especially when it’s pressed up against something like in his case a garage. I’m all for what he’s doing it’s awesome seeing kids a little younger than I am doing that. Don’t get me wrong it’s just irritating that he hasn’t even ridden it on a street let alone a parking a lot and then tries and figure out how to do this and that instead of giving the thing a chance to actually be ridden and not in only 1st gear.
@raymondt272
@raymondt272 5 жыл бұрын
The rod going into the flat bar for your shifter needs to be able to pivot inside of the flat bar, you can hold it there with small bolt or a cotter pin. You also need to move your tensioner to other top side of your chain going from the jack shaft to your axle. Your tensioner can be half as strong and it will probably never fail and you will not skip links that way. Im not critisizing your work just giving advice.

Nice work, 2 things you are gonna have to do is make stronger engine mounts, that motor is gonna rip outta there pretty quick, and i still see problems in your futur with where tge skateboard wheel is. You have the wheel fighting chain slack and the torque from the engine on that side. Besides that good job keep it up, we all learn from experience and you are on a roll!

When the sprocket spins it pulls on only one side of the chain, and when u have the tensioner on that side it’s just going to flex over time or when you go full throttle. You just have to think about which way the sprocket is turning, and find the slack side. You’re tensioner will work way better that way, and be a whole lot more reliable.

If that is a flux core welder you have there the tip set up wrong... Since you aren't worried about gas escaping the tip should extend past the nozzle about 3/8". You should be able to screw the nozzle on further so the tip becomes exposed. Makes it a lot easier to see what you are doing and to weld in corners and stuff. Actually one of the advantages of FC.

Very impressive what you accomplished so far. Your motor was bouncing around alot. I wish I could help you strengthen all your motor mounts and welds. Please get some assistance from an experienced welder at least some pointers to get better or tell you what your doing right or wrong.

This is a good idea for a bill you just have to finish it and get it right you cannot drive it like this because if you do it's going to kill you you have to finish the frame I have been saying that since video 1 on this build

At the begining of this project i had a lot of hope that this is going to turn in to something good but now i lost hope. The engine is moving around,jour mounts are bad. My advise is to start over again because the power plant is not atached to the chasi end that is the most inportant thing.Pls remove the engine and make mounts again because that engine will fly out and kill you and your life is more inportant than anything. I wish you luck Sry my englis is bad.

Been watching your channel for a while now and really like what your doing. Please don’t take any offense to what I’m about to say. Please before you get that nascart up to any kind of speed invest in some good protection for yourself. I’d hate to see you like vasily custom builds and wreck on the first real ride and be in the emergency room. Hopefully this year you can get back into two wheels and throw them in the back of your truck and go for some rides and bring us along.

If you don't get some proper welds down on that thing it will rip itself apart once you get traction.

Motor mounts need more work. Put some rubber dampeners in before you engine breaks your frame. The motor shaking like that, IDK scary.

eBay universal exhaust pipe. Just make sure it’s steel. Easy way to see if the metal your using is able to be welded with your welder. Take a magnet and see if it will stick...if it does you can weld it if it doesn’t you can’t.
