Informative video. Their heating system is supposed to be second to none. I hope you get the other kinks straightened out. Be safe!

Carry a portable jumping system. Using your own vehicle endangers your own electrical and on board computers. They drive away and your system shuts down. Thus your system is tits up. Won't start. Possible 3000.00 or more damage, tow charges and if not close to home hotel bills. I know it happened to me. Never endanger your vehicle. JMHO

The Alde heating system takes some time to learn, but once you learn it it's great. It's so quiet. I like your framed platform. Did you get your generator running? Regarding batteries, I just bought the LiTime 230 Amp hour plus and the LiTime battery monitor with a shunt. I'll let you know how everything works. I did a LOT of research on what battery can fit in our 620 battery box. The Litime 230 was the best purchase and fit for the 620. Fits perfect. I mounted my 1200 watt inverter up against the left side wall of the cubby under the step up to the bed. It's an Ampere 1200 watt. Fits perfect. Your setup is awesome. One more thing: If you plan to plug your shore power into your inverter so that the entire camper runs off your battery you will need to isolate the converter charger to its own breaker in your breaker panel. My converter was paired with my AC plugs, so I paired the plugs with the next breaker down (Alde I think). Now the converter is on its own breaker and I turn that breaker off so that the converter doesn't try to charge the battery when I plug shore power into the inverter.

Thanks for the battery and electronic tips! I’ll check out the LiTime’s. I’m working with Champion to get a replacement generator. Come to find out, there are also several other things wrong with it.

I was an rv full timer before it was trendy. Never had any issues with propane but batteries were a whole other issue. Charging and depleting batteries of any chemistry is fraught with issues...grounding over time, failure in charging systems due to sub components made in cheap offshore locations etc. Not as reliable as you think and I am part owner of a solar company. Complexity means more failure mechanisms per the laws of thermodynamics

We need to meet up and take the 890's out. Did an AWESOME route the weekend before last up North of Taos, 50+ mile long dirt road with LOTS of amazing views and very little traffic at all.

Wondering what is using propane? Just the Alde Heating and cooktop, right? Does the Alde uses that much propane to have to carry 2 bottles or you just want to wedge them in place. I know in my old 15ft TT with the blower furnace, i'll burn thru a tank in 3 days if i'm in freezing or close to freezing temperatures.
@Brian.A.Simmons Жыл бұрын
I mainly use the gas for the Alde system. The heater and hot water. I’m still experimenting with things though. I ran it pretty hard on my last trip and haven’t had time to check my levels. I’ll keep up guys updated though. Take care.

Question , does your generator carry your ac, or do yu need a bigger unit , i just bought the 620 with roof AC, i need a generator, not sure on how big of one i need , can Yu assist ??
@Brian.A.Simmons6 ай бұрын
Greetings, I have yet to try it. I don't camp in areas where I need AC though. For the price, you can't beat this little Champion generator. If your looking to run your AC often, check out Honda's flagship: powerequipment.honda.com/generators/models/eu3200i

@@Brian.A.Simmonsi read the 920 is making the back awning optional yet a side awning is standard, seems to be a screwy thing with them. 🍻
