I love this camper. My only criticism is that it seems like there's almost no counterspace. If this were mine I would have a cutting board made that fits perfectly over the cooktop so I don't crack it when I inevitably use it for prep and/or another one that covers half the sink.

Not a bad video. Rehearsing your script would help avoiding repeating words like “super” and “love”. While you did a nice job of showing the storage options of the nuCamp cab over, small things you missed do matter. For example, most of the exterior compartments have locks. That has not always been the case, some of the earlier cab overs just had the latches to open close. Your fridge/freezer in the back seat is similar to our own setup - but you failed to mention how you power it when moving and then stationary. We use DC power when moving and then switch to a portable lithium battery system when stationary. The power cable storage and different connectors was interesting but no mention of a surge protector. Is there a built in one? That large gap between the cab over and the rear of truck cab seems like wasted space. Surprised you haven’t utilized it. FYI, we travel about 200 days of the year pulling a nuCamp t@b 400 BDL and are currently on a four month trip through Alaska. The large bottom bin on the door is a good place to store all those plastic grocery bags. As Ambassadors you should mentioned things like power - without propane what can your batteries power and for how long? Plus, are you using lithium or ACM acid batteries? Can you use the microwave and/or the glass top stove on DC only power? Same for the solar panels that I’ll assume are on the roof? Does the unit come prewired for things like a weboost cell booster and/or satellite system? Finally, I think letting folks know the cost is around $48,000 base price.

I've been looking to have the same set up with the flat bed and a Cirrus but I would like the 920 because I need a bigger fridge, I like the dry bath and not having propane. The problem is that dealers seem to be playing around with the price making it very expensive. I also need a truck and need to stay within my budget so I hope to get the 920 at some point but I'll start with the truck. Enjoy your new set up guys.

I’ve seen the northern lites. The 8-11 goes for like 69k with little to no solar let alone lithium. I think that camper for 76k is priced right. Just to confirm, we’re chatting about the 920 and not the 820 right?

Yes, I am looking at the 920 because I do not want propane and prefer the dry bath. I am also not a campground person and so I need it to be fully off-grid. After my experience and checking around Cirrus came on top, and if I purchase something less costly I would still have to add an average of $6K to $10K in a solar package and lithium. Plus, Cirrus has the Alde system which I prefer.

We have the Alde system and it runs fully on electric like the new nuCamp Cirrus 920. The cooktop is induction!

If you change the AC unit cover to a white cover, it would be more efficient, keeping it cooler more easily and using less power. Just a tip.

Great video. We just looked at the 820 at NuCamp. We have a T@b 400. Careful with the reflective in the windows. It will melt the window. There is a warning on our T@b windows which are the same in the 820

We went with the Wicked Customs 3.5 inch level with 2.0 Fox Resi shocks. For the wheels, we have StazWorks Dually Wheels wrapped in Toyo AT3! StazWorks makes some amazing wheels!

I have to say I love the cirrus 820. I will be looking to buy a truck camper real soon. Can you run your AC on the solar ? because living in South Florida AC is a lifesaver. We love the 820! We can run our AC but definitely recommend a soft start. You can probably mount a generator on a front or rear cargo rack to make that work out!

Get some three or five pound descant bags and put in the external storage to keep the moisture down. You can put them in an oven at 175-200F for about 45-60 minutes per side and dry them out and reuse them or however the instructions say.

Thank you! Removing the propane is fairly easy actually. We did it on our last 820 but this one was done a bit different being that it’s only electric which is super nice. Our 2017 820 has diesel heating

While they briefly showed a number of batteries, they never mentioned specifics - lithium or ACM, what the batteries can power and for how long. We have a t@b 400 with the three-way fridge (DC-AC-Propane) and we know from experience the fridge won’t run long on battery. We did replace our two ACM batteries with lithium. I get why they want to go all electric but they should have gone into a bit of detail regarding the power draw in this rig.

@@hcarpam1We have command hooks in our t@b 400 BDL bathroom since 2019 and they haven’t fallen off. Suggest clean the surface first and then use the heavy duty command hooks (the Velcro comes in different strengths). Also have several on our entry door that hold the dog leashes and a couple in the kitchen area for small things. No issues thus far.

The 920 is AMAZING! We just saw one in person for the first time recently. For us we wanted to build boxes around the bed of the truck for more storage space. The 820 is a good size for us now but we have definitely talked about a 920 in the future.
