Thank you Scott! I think these vids are the ultimate and will do this one day, so many cool fish. Never been to Oz, retired Miami Beach firefighter/paramedic doing Sydney/NZ cruise/ with other retired firemen, then Melbourne with a nurse friend who's an Aussie. Years ago I got tarpon up over 100 pounds but mostly 25 to 40. No roosters here but Central America is close and have seen schools of tiny ones herding glass minnows in the surf line in Costa Rica with their little finger like dorsals out of the water. Lately been fishing the Amazon a few times a year for mainly peacock bass. Three weeks ago in Venice with the wife I caught mullet out the hotel window two stories up on bread and royally pissed off a gondolier. Oops. Any time you want to catch tarpon in South Florida they're pretty easy - at least to hook, they're masters at shaking off.

I'm finding it hard to describe the level of stoked I am for you right now timmy. I live in WA now and I found your channel a while ago through razoredge (chris lives around the corner from me) and watching your vids has been kinda like reliving my own fishing journey learning to fish while growing up on the sunnie coast as a grom. To see you get an opportunity like this is awesome mate, living the dream. You being crook almost kinda makes it better (for the viewer ;-) ). To embark on a trip like that while under the weather shows your true grit as a fisho imo. Then landing a 20kg GT...…..something to tell ya grandkids about mate.
