First Chimpanzees Moved to Tchindzoulou Island

Watch as the Jane Goodall Institute (JGI) team from the Tchimpounga Chimpanzee Rehabilitation Center in the Republic of Congo moves the first group of female chimpanzees to Tchindzoulou, a nearby river island they will now call home. On the island, the chimpanzees will enjoy more freedom than they've ever had, while still receiving the same level of care from JGI's staff.

I am curious to whether fruit and nut trees are planted on the islands to provide supplemental feedings when the chimps don't get fed on a daily basis.

Probably has a GPS locator on it. They need a way to monitor the chimps in their new home.

@@hollykane4000 no. You're thinking of Rfid chips like they put in dogs but you need a scanner right by the chip because it's rf waves waves in the scanner that powers the chip. And those only store a serial number. GPS needs a much bigger unit because it needs its own battery. A GPS module and usually a Sim card module so it can send the data of where they are at through cellular networks. All stuff is pretty big
