Me too, I hate people for treating any creature badly. It's almost impossible for me to click on this stuff. I know it goes on but it's more than I can deal with. I have to turn the channel when the ASPCA commercials come on.

I'm so ashamed to be a human sometimes! This was heartbreaking and beautiful at the same time! It's so sad it took that many years to finally free them from their imprisonment and torture at the hands of sadistic people!!

It really is a crime the way the pharmaceutical industry uses not only humans as guinea pigs, but incarcerates animals to use them for research. If somebody did the same thing to a dog they would rightfully go to prison. But primates? And the vaccines just add major insult to injury, because the vaccines are dangerous, too.

ANIMALS are not things.. but I used the word things to cover all Gods living things..NOT just animals... but all living things.. for example a BEE is not an animal... but still its being destroyed by humans... fish... trees. plants.. ect.. so yes I meant things in that since... and your comment explains to me you see a picture... but its really not the BIG PICTURE.

@@raz1980. What else can they do with them? They cannot survive in the wild at this point. They've been locked in small cages and used for medical testing their entire lives. Now that that's done and over with, someone has to take care of them. They will live well here.

.. overjoyed to see our beautiful ape cousins, enjoying a supported retirement, which they so richly deserve; after far too many years of service to humanity in research labs. Hope at some point, the fellas will be able to enjoy the company of some feminine energy..after all, men are incomplete (& vice versa) without the sacred feminine .. p.s.Luke stole my heart ..& couldn't help but remember Star Trek's intro (spoken by Cpt. I missed the info about what sort od research was done on them before I real8zed there was no audio. But if they are like human beings for the results on them to be valid, I question the ethics of doing it on them.

This is the least we can do for these guys and places like these are vital for caring and understanding these fantastic animals. However, having studied Chimps; that grin at the end, in addition to slamming the fists on the wood is a statement declaring his intentions and strength. It is not a grin of happiness, rather, just a communication to the others around him.

This is so heartbreaking I'm not sure I'll get through it. Bless the angels on Earth who do the work to free these imprisoned, tortured animals. I pray they live a life where they know love and company's m compassionate touch from this day forward--however much they have left of it.
