I learbed to responsd to second line pushes because i played alot against cosumi and it loves to monkey jump under you of you dont block second line buf blockibg second li e often gives away my sente so you can probably see the level im stuck at

Yeah, the second line is very useful at any level of play. Now it's time to think about the first line video =)

I'm gonna go ahead and assume that you should play on the first line if it is necessary to firmly divide two medium-sized groups of stones. I have some painful memory of refusing to play on the first line only to have my opponent play there to connect the two groups and form one eye in each.

"Never play 1st line in the opening..." (me who monkey jumps early all the time when my opponent does not respond to my 2nd line descent... too tempting!)
