It's not an "upgraded" train, it's just 1st class (so called "СВ" compartment). These types are expensive, and not every train offers them. Absolutely majority of people travel in 2nd and 3rd class. Me personally when I'm alone, travel in 3rd, since it has the best value for money.

@DavionWest Жыл бұрын
It was comfy, but I will say.. You could end up on one of the older trains that is not updated like the one I was on. Just a fair warning. When we traveled back to lviv, we were on one of the older trains, still comfortable but not as modern. If you want to come see the country, just make sure you do your research and follow Ukrainian social media channels. So you know where to go, and how to be as safe as you can. Ukrainian people are happy to see people coming to see their coutnry, as long as they are respectful.

Soon the Russians will start firing missiles at Ukraine's energy system again. This will probably start when the weather gets cold enough. But so far it’s pretty quiet in Ukraine, except for the border regions (and Odessa. The ports are heavily shelled). Russia is probably stockpiling missiles.
