Getting from Lisbon to the south of Portugal (Algarve) means a long drive, bus journey or a flight. Instead, I found a first class ticket to travel by train to near where I needed to be.

Travel Tips:
* Lisbon-Oriente station is much further from central Lisbon than I realised! Budget for at least 20 minutes by Uber or taxi.
* You can assign a forward-facing single seat or two seats together for friends/couples.

Patrick this video was helpful. I was planning to travel from Lisbon to Tomar in December. I see that you had a suitcase. Did you store that at your seat or was there a first class storage place in the train. I will be traveling with medium size suitcase and have wondered where to put as I am not familiar with European trains. Thank you!

Idk if it was bcs I was in second class but last time I was on an ap, the internet was very very slow, and it coudnt even load youtube, but each couch has its own internet so idk if it was bcs of that or not 😅

Just a note, u forgot to mention the fact that the 19€ ticket was bcs u booked early, bcs if someone buys the tickes less than 5 days before the trip its fonna cpst double of the price

I booked this over 2 years ago, I don’t know what the rules were at the time. People should check at the time they book what the booking rules are.

The difference is mainly the seat comfort and size. Yes there’s a washroom not only on every train but usually in every carriage.

You should look up the Portuguese train service. I’ve taken literally one journey with them.
