We're Iain and Brioni, a couple of ginger Scots who sold everything we own and moved to the Caribbean to buy a boat that we could call home. We have a habit of finding ourselves in the most unusual circumstances, but that’s what makes life interesting! Thank you so much. We are having a blast, making it up as we go along. If you get a chance, the scenery on the west coast of Scotland is incredible. You should sail up there for a bit. Just a word about visa's for the USA and territories .. make sure you have the "arriving by boat visa" I saw on another channel that a couple got fined about US$800 ( I think) each for having the wrong visa. La Vagabond did the same thing but were lucky to get an exemption using a different visa. . Have fun and good luck with your Cat purchase.

Yeah, the sun can be brutal in the tropics for sure. Thankfully our skin has been getting more used to it over time but we still have sun cream at the ready most days.

Nylon ring gear?, designed for limited life! What brand is that?, so nobody buys it. Disgusting!

It was a learning experience for sure. The idea behind it is (I guess) that the gear is sacrificial and avoids damage to the rest of the starter assembly. That said, it wasn’t easy to source a replacement. I think we finally got one from bequia to be able to set sail.
