Dude - doing uni and youtube at the same time is FRICKEN HARD. I've been trying to do that for 4 years, and I still have no idea what I'm doing most of the time, and my upload schedule changes all the TIME especially because once I finally get into a rhythm it's a new semester & classes always change every semester! Do your thing, girl! I was in art school for a long time and just started teaching it this semester! It's always awesome when students create in whatever medium they want and don't just wait for that class to come around. Getting started painting early will only help you when you start that class. This is actually a really good example of what people need to take into consideration when starting a youtube channel. Some people create a persona, some people are themselves, some people have a "on-camera" look that differs from their every-day look... There's no right or wrong answer to how to approach it, but for people who are super shy it is a good idea to take a moment and consider how much you want these two aspects of your life; your youtube self and your real-life self, to bleed into each other. Some people prefer a complete barrier, other people like a constant dialog of both worlds influencing and impacting the other.

i love teachers who give a break in the middle of a long class. especially when i had draping which was like a 4 hour long class. dont worry about your schedule. as many people stated, it gets easier. especially in my experience in college for apparel design, even when your class work gets crazy.

omg pixie im in my final year of art school and it has been the most magical experience of my life!! you're going to looove it! art students are so wonderfully openminded and accepting. you're going to have so much fun!! idk if you're looking for it or not but if i have any advice its that definitely by your junior or senior year, get an internship in the field you're wanting to work in because it'll give you something to put on your resume and pretty much guarantee you a job in your field after you graduate :D art school is SO FUN!! i hope you really love your classes!

A little tip for getting cat called, i know it's hard to do, but cat call them back. Honestly, most guys when you cat call back or take the dominant approach get scared and back off because they're not used to being pushed back against. I didn't believe this would work, but have done it myself now a handful of times and it works really well mos tof the time. Good luck with everything and worry about school first, it's most important. We'll be here when you can be!
