That made me so hungry. One of my favorite things to snack on is raw peanuts. I’m still amazed at the size of the US when I see a farm of this scale. I find the whole process so intriguing. Did you save those large bags of seed from a previous harvest or do you buy seeds?

I’ve noticed that in the Deep South hitch mounted corn planters are much more common than they are in the Midwest or northeast. Why is that? What makes them better for you than a traditional pull type planter?
@conleybanman3 жыл бұрын
With these planters it’s a lot easier to get around wells and pivots and we were kinda thinking about a pull type planter we just don’t know how well you’d be able to bring it from field to field

Very interesting with the peanuts. When will you be planting cotton?
@conleybanman4 жыл бұрын
Right after we’re done planting peanuts and we have about 840 acres left

Could you eat those peanuts? Also do the fresh ones need to be roasted before you eat them? And when you harvest where do all of the peanuts go
@conleybanman3 жыл бұрын
You can not eat the peanuts that we plant because there’s a coating on them to help keep away bugs. But the ones we harvest you can. You can either eat them raw or roasted, roasted is better. And there usually a company that buys our peanuts they deal with where it goes after that

there is another seeder to plant peanuts bigger than this?

As long as it has these style boxes I think you can get a 24 row on 36” row spacing and that’s the biggest you can go

Isn't seed treatment poisonous? You are covered in it when you climb in the seed hooper.
@conleybanman3 жыл бұрын
Yea it’s not poisonous but of course if it gets on your skin you probably should at least wash it off
