Nothing better than getting your own bait and converting it into some nice fish - bait from tackle shops is often overpriced these days.

Hey mate just a quick question do have any tips for catching big whiting of the beach I fish with beach worms on a shallow gutter at a beach in Qld I have a long trace between hook and sinker as recommended and use a long shank hook and I keep catching small whiting around 20cm I catch a lot of them so there is no shortage but I cant catch the bigger size ones for a feed

Hey mate try using lighter line maybe I use 6lb to 9lb mono line maybe try a different beach mite only be smaller fish on that beach or try different spots on that beach if your use live beach worms you should catch bigger fish if they are there also fish the last 2 hours of run in tide up to high tide and a hour of run out i find the beach also maybe try some yabbies like I use maybe try different rig too but rig shouldn't matter if you use light line and good bait 👍

Mate, enjoyed watching this one, some nice fish for the pan. Gee, how did that poor little whitebait sneak through the beach gutters to the sand. Fish must be slacking off. I noticed you don't use a berley spring and berley when beach fishing for whiting. Is that by design ? Cheers mate.

Thanks mate yeah I was surprised to see it on the beach too the white bait Nah I don't use a berley spring just one more thing to worry about put we get a lot of current on the beach so will wash away quickly if I can't get fish on live yabbies they are not there very rarely I Don't get fish on them mate cheers 👍
