Yep I'll second that... It was baltic this morning. A perfect morning for the saying "It'd freeze the baws aff a brass monkey" 🥶(For anyone not familiar with that saying.... A brass monkey was the nickname for a brass triangle that they used to stack the iron cannon balls on top of, but in winter it was so cold that the brass would constrict and the cannon balls would fall off) I laugh when people think i'm being rude 😉

Hubby & I had soup that I made and canned fourteen years ago from a Gordon Ramsey recipe. It was like a gift from my younger self saying, "You sit down and let me serve you." It was massively delicious.

We use Demon Ice spray on our car windscreen. You spray it on at night when it's going to be frosty, and in the morning, the frost/ice just wipes straight off. No scraping or hot water is needed!

snowing in wales liverpool and leeds now. 7 degs in kent light rain. warm in my cottage no heating on yet,. we have small windows. i am glad I don't have a dog to take for a walk in all weathers. happy with feeding the wild birds we have a storm on saturday in kent, up to 50mph an hour all day and we have to keep away from falling trees and power lines

Aberdeen- snow, but not put heating on since spring. 6c indoors. Blankets, hot bottles, layering up- flat cardboard boxes to stand on. Made thick curtains this year. Made Soup for lunch, stew for dinner. Part baked rolls in air fryer.

Just had my homemade tomato and pumpkin soup for tea, with homemade sourdough bread. Delicious. Yeah for soup! 😀

Toronto is having spring like weather today 10 c no wind. I was thinking of a picnic for dinner it is that nice. Lets enjoy in a couple of weeks it will be - 10 minus 10 c and then 25 below zero really COLD

Glad you mentioned about the hot water in the bag only getting your windscreen to a thin layer of ice! I thought I’d done it wrong! My car is parked a bit away from the house, so not convenient to go back and fill it up again, or leave the engine running in between. Scrapper it is then!
