I have a cockateil as well, and also a lot of figures. As a bird owner/anime fan I recomend you move your figures away from the cage especially the ones near the top of it at the play area. Why? I found out the hard way. Birds love to take craps on things that you love :'D

He’s adorable :0!! I have a hand reared and a tame rescue and tamed birds are like your best friends they are absolute attention hogs. Also found that hand reared birds need a lot of exposure to different things, so while he’s young introduce him to a lot of things! Mine really didn’t know how to be a ‘bird’ when I brought him home 😅 also I suggest free flighting or teaching him to wear a harness if you want to take him outside ^^

Also I loved how your bird jumped onto your hand; that's so cute! I remember my hand-raised cockatiel being like that when we got her. All the resources I was reading said to leave them in the cage for a few days to let them get used to their surroundings, but my bird just wanted to hang out with me. The day we got her, she legit fell asleep in my lap while I did Spanish homework.

Just as a FYI, you may already know this. Cockatiels love paper (to rip apart), human hair to play with, and scritches. Some cons are that cockatiels with clipped wing may develop mild depression or an attitude, the other thing is try not to let Yuki too close to your dogs because they may attack the precious birb! I remember when I bought my second cockatiel, which is a male, he was constantly walking in his little container that the people put him in gently and peaking through the holes of the container. You could hear his feet lol so cute. I love the little dinosaur noises!

Mine is now 13 years old. I got him when he was just a few weeks old and hand-raised. I'm expecting him to live for another 10 years or more. Please research before purchasing any bird. They take a lot of care, and live a long time. While I love mine dearly, and he has a forever home with me, It is a lot of commitment. Just want to let people know...I hate to see unwanted or abandoned pet birds out there! Big commitment and lot's of daily mess so be prepared.

I was crying throughout this video because my baby boy cockatiel Tangy died recently and it was on my birthday too. He was such a crazy little guy who would jump everywhere and chew on everything! I'm still not over him but all I can wish for is you and Yuki to have lots of fun and that he/she stays healthy! ^^

If Yuki fluffs up, it means it's happy. If Yuki scratches its fathers while sitting on you, Yuki likes you and is comfortable around you If Yuki grinds its beak, it's content and happy. We have 8 Birds, so I know a lot about them :)

I have the same kind of cage but its a bit bigger and has 2 doors and smaller doors on the side for the food bowls, I have 2 cockatiels that are 2 years old. They were hand raised but not anymore sadly. Ones a female and the others a male and my male one likes to sing! He knows two songs :D
