What are your thoughts on HECS suits?
@AussieBushHarvest8 ай бұрын
What’s a HECS suit?
@Kurtis88018 ай бұрын
@@AussieBushHarvest It's a base layer you wear when hunting or wanting to get closer to wildlife in general, it supposedly blocks your electromagnetic radiation. They've done experiments with the suit on deer and it appears to let you get closer. I've personally noticed a huge difference with birds, but I think that's because they need to detect it in order to migrate.
@nickm33608 ай бұрын
This might be a dumb question, but why did you wait 10 minutes? Also, do you hunt the deer throughout the whole day? In my limited experience, I found early morning and late arvo the only time worth trying.
@AussieBushHarvest8 ай бұрын
So I waited 10minutes just in case the animal some how had an adrenaline kick and bolted somewhere I couldn’t recover it. I shoot the majority of my animals between 9am and 3pm. Yes a lot of animals will become active early and late in the day and move in to open feed areas, but if they’re pressured they might only feed nocturnally. Point being deer don’t stop existing during the day, and because I hunt forested areas where they mostly bed and spend their days, most of my success happens then. The rut is different though as you’ll have animals active all throughout the day
@nickm33608 ай бұрын
@@AussieBushHarvest That's interesting and good to know. I'll keep that in mind when I go to my usual bowhunting property in the New England area in June. The deer there seem to be fairly predictable, they come down the mountain in the arvo to feed, and then go back up the mountain early morning to bed down, usually along the same trails. This time I might try and find them during the day and stalk up to them. I haven't nailed one yet, but after watching this video, I'm not coming back till I get one. I might be gone for a while...
