Dimash was born in Kazakhstan in 1994. He began studying music at the age of 5, the age at which he was diagnosed with “perfect pitch”. His parents are prestigious singers in Kazakhstan. He graduated from classical and contemporary music. He has a master's degree in composition and is currently pursuing a doctorate in musicology. He speaks Kazakh, Russian and English and studies Mandarin Chinese. He sings in 12 languages. He has received countless awards and distinctions at home and abroad. After competing in "I am a singer" in China 2017 he became famous all over the world. He postponed his ARNAU tour due to the pandemic, events that he will resume as soon as the conditions are met. He is also a singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist (6). He has ventured as an advertising model, actor, dancer and audiovisual director. (He directed the video of him Qairam Elim). He is just 27 years old and is 1.91 m (6.3 ft) tall. He lives in his country Kazakhstan. He has a page on You Tube (Dimash Kudaibergen) where he has posted many of his songs. I cannot fail to mention that he is an exceptional human being.

He isn’t the the second best to anyone. This isn’t against anybody else. It’s just he looks 15 or 16 yrs old. He’s not. He’s 22 yrs old. He was on stage at 2 yrs. if you go to wikipedia and read his bio that’s when he was on stage. He won his first piano contest at 5 he he performed on stage for the first time at 5 and his grandmother who raised him as is custome for the eldest child to be but she put him in the music academy at 5 too when she heard he had perfect pitch. He had two masters in classical and contemporary music, plays 8 instruments sings in 13 languages, I just checked his bio 2 days ago and they had increased it by one. He’s been approved 100% for his doctorate. He has a range from F#1 to D8 which is ne ess than 8 octaves. The D8 isn’t on the piano. It’s one key above the piano. Dimash here has 20 years experience and education he had a master class i broadway strange production. So everything that you saw in sos the song the whole production of the Dimash did it or collabed on the song. The lights the sound the instruments everything. Dimash was a prodigy. Read Wikipedia for an hour..most of it’s true. Sos was in 2017. He’s done a lot of music in four years. There’s a digital concert on his channel of the 2021 version of sos.

Dimash is the best singer in the world. After you see more of what he can do you may agree. I understand it's a very bold statement, but Dimash is a one of kind master vocalist. His control of breath and wide range of 7 octaves is beyond compare.

When first listening to Dimash this song is the obvious choice though there are several versions. You Sir have only discovered the tip of the iceberg. Please listen to more of his repertoire you will be amazed. He can sing the full scale of the piano and more. Do it for you, react to it for us.

Freddy Mercury had at the most a 4 octave range whereas Dimash in 2017 when he performed this song, had 6 octaves and now he has increased so that some months ago it was 7 octaves and two notes. Dimash himself said it’s not about how many octaves it’s more important how he makes the audience feel. While I love his high range, his soft breathy tones in Ikanaide and many other songs and his mid range tones that really melt me, feel like a warm vocal caress like in “Love is like a Dream” and the power note at the end of that song and “Stranger’ I love even more

I'd just like to say it's a misconception that Freddie Mercury has a 'high' voice, he really doesn't, but that's not against him. He's naturally a baritone (in most of his later career), and he has 2 1/2 octaves; Dimash has 6. What's amazing about Freddie is how he uses his voice, which to me can be summed up with "energy" and he belts most of his stuff. Probably the most well-known baritone is Frank Sinatra, so, having kind of the same natural voice as Freddie, you can see why people hear him as high-pitched.

👉 This was a historic moment and this is the song of the songs for Dimash and us, his Dears (This is what Dimash calls us fans.) This song comes from the famous Canadian-French rock opera 'Starmania' 1978, well known in French-speaking countries) and is one of the most difficult songs to sing and made Dimash a mega-star overnight. In 2017 Dimash received a wild-card for the competition “The Singer” in China. He was the youngest participant of all time (22 years) and the first non-Chinese. Only professional, award-winning singers take part. Nobody knew or hear Dimash before and he also had to start first... and after this song Dimash captured the hearts of over 600 millions of viewers over night. The next day, bodyguards stood at his door. The competition consisted of 14 rounds, over 4 months. The jury consists of 500 spectators. With up to 1 billion people see this tv-program, that's generated international interest. The performances were uploaded to KZbin... and so, we became Dimash’s Dears. The Chinese organizers planned that Dimash would survive two episodes of the competition and go home again. They didn't really believe in him. But Dimash came, sang and stayed... for the next 3 years in China... but he only finished second in the competition because he's not Chinese (conditions have changed: The next year, Jessie J. won).🌼🇩🇪

The Singer , it was a Chinese show for highly respected singers to compete, Dimash was the only non Chinese singer invited because the producer saw him perform for the Chinese and Kazakh presidents and was very impressed. He is from Kazakhstan and was the youngest ever competitor in 2017 at only 22 years old. This was his first performance on the show and the audience went wild for him. When the show was broadcast on tv he had to have bodyguards for the first time in his life as he had become a superstar overnight in China. He is now a world class artist, still just turned 27 on the 24th of May but touring the world to sell out arenas with his solo concerts, (on hold until next year due to covid-19) he also performs in concerts with the famous Russian composer Igor Krutoy, is constantly collecting awards, attends many prestigious red carpet events, film festivals and even models for lots of high end fashion houses. He is university trained in Classical opera vocals to degree level, also holds a degree in contemporary pop music and jazz with a major in vocals, and now has finished his master degree in music composition. He has been having singing lessons from the age of 5 when his teacher noticed he had perfect pitch . He was offered a place at the Astana Opera in Kazakhstan but respectfully turned it down to pursue his own more contemporary musical career. He is a multi instrumentalist, more than 8 instruments and also sings in 12 different languages and has a range of over 6 octaves from a low bass A2 to a high soprano, plus a whistle register with his highest note so far being a 5 second D8 with vibrato. He is widely recognized as the best vocalist in the world. He speaks fluent Kazakh and Russian, is studying English and Mandarin and has conversational skills in both but not quite fluent yet. He is kind, humble, generous and modest, very elegant and very tall, Dimash is 6ft 3, 1/4. The definition of best singer & best vocalist in the world have different meaning for me. Who is the best singer in the world?? The classic answer usually Freddie Mercury or Pavarotti. The best singers in the world can be different from each person because we have different references. Is Dimash the best singer in the world for me? NO.. Dimash have so many voices, sings in many language & genre, not all of that is the best for me. But as a vocalist Dimash is the best in the world that's the fact. Dimash has no comparation. No one in the world can match with him. Dimash can do what Freddie Mercury & Pavarotti can do. But both of them can not do what Dimash can do. its like Freddie is red Pavaotti is blue & Dimash is rainbow.. but Freddie is more red from Dimash's red, Pavarotti more blue than Dimash.. u know what i mean?! Funny thing, the reasons you listed are why I find Dimash so fascinating as an artist: his versatility and endless tones and colors. I find music which hasn't these many colors or styles, or such rich dynamics, somehow bland (just my feeling). I may understand what you mean with the color analogue. Just feel otherwise. Our difference is that I can fully feel Dimash's voice (and his soul in it) when I hear him. So, I get all the brightest colors from him. Honestly his voice sounds so beautiful to me it almost hurts. His breathy tones are my favourites but I love his voice in all its variety. For me it all sounds him; his timbre and way of singing is very distinctive. Dimash's skills, huge range and all that are awesome of course. But his emotions matter me most. I guess that's how it should be with any singer. Well... I know tastes differ, we don't sense things the same. So if someone doesn't get his voice or style it's totally ok to me. Honestly, Dimash isn't easy to get. He is such a chameleon. ☺️

The way I found to celebrate the majesty of Dimash's talent was to have written the following about him: If I were to rule the world, I would immediately add, to the universal declaration of human rights, another article (they would become 31) whose wording would next "All human beings have the right, at least once in their lives, to hear Dimash sing". I am a Professor and I believe that I have a special profession that allows me to transform the human heart and consequently the human society. I work with young people and young people need to have good references. I had been looking for someone for a long time, of whom I could speak to the young people I work with, as a good reference. That person should be young, a super talent, a super mega star in the art world and above all, because he is the most important, a good human person. I searched and never found anyone with these characteristics. Until, finally, I found this person and that person is Dimash. I had the opportunity to say this to Dimash, personally, when I was with him in Latvia where I went, coming from Portugal (there are 8000 km round trip), on the 7th of March 2020. This was an enjoyable reaction. The song “SOS (d'un Terrien en détresse)” is originally from a French-Canadian musical called ‘Starmania’ from the 1970s and is considered one of the most difficult French songs to perform. Dimash is from Kazakhstan. He appears here in the fifth season of Hunan Television's “I Am A Singer” competition. “I Am A Singer” is an annual Chinese music competition between famous and established professional singers. The audience phones in to determine the winner after each episode and is the same throughout the entire show; 500 with musical backgrounds and they judge the show by points each week. At 22 years old, Dimash was the youngest participant in the history of the show, and competed against these professional and top-selling Chinese singers as a ‘wildcard’ competitor. The competition consists of 14 rounds, lasts almost 4 months and competitors are eliminated throughout the season. Every performance is live and no lip-syncing or auto-tune is permitted. Pure unadulterated vocal ability only. Dimash’s mother later said that he hoped to reach at least the middle stage of the competition. This was the very first episode of the competition, and Dimash had to go first because he was considered the weakest given that he was completely unknown to the audience. After this performance, he became a superstar in China overnight. His Chinese competitors called him their "little imported brother." The other already well-known contestants were in absolute awe of him and joked that they might as well go home. Dimash won the first two episodes! He also won the 6th, for his rendition of “Adagio”, a song made famous by Lara Fabian. First place overall went to the famous Chinese Sandy. Sandy's first album came out before Dimash was even born. Dimash took second place overall, however, lost by a very narrow margin. He lost a lot of points for his performance of “Uptown Funk”. Although Dimash did not win the show, he immediately became a beloved star in China. As part of the contest contestants/performers are each required to perform one original song they have composed. Dimash sang “Unforgettable Day”, a song he wrote when he was still in his teens - it's a love song. He sang in both the original Kazakh as well as in Chinese even though he did not speak Chinese at the time and had to have a translator with him throughout the competition. Here is the order of Dimash’s performances for The Singer 2017. The contest lasts 14 weeks, but Dimash has only 13 performances because he had already made it into the semi-finals by week 11. 1. I’m a fan, and have been trying to soak up as much as possible of his music over the last few weeks that I’ve been listening to him, so enjoy the rabbit hole you just found! And yes, there will be a lot of requests, it all depends on how you want to go… most listen to Sinful Passion next, or Stranger. His vocals are out of this world and his range is just over 6 octaves!! In one song he hits a D8, which is a note not even near the end of highest note on a piano. You should react to his latest release of this song from his January 2021 concert is excellent and has subtitles. Dimash is a phenomenon from Kazakhstan. He is considered a national treasure in Kazakhstan. Dimash is one of the best, if not the best, singers on the planet today. He started singing lessons at 5 years old and was later found to have perfect pitch. Dimash has been on stage since childhood: he sang and played the piano at various venues and competitions throughout his childhood. The young artist was not only a bright performer of famous hits, but also the author of his own songs. He had written seven songs by the age of 24. His genres include rap, pop, rock, classic, Opera, traditional Kazakh folk and ballad. He is University educated with degrees in classical and opera, as well as contemporary music, pop and jazz. He also completed a Broadway musical master class. On June 18th, 2020 he completed his masters specializing in composition and received his masters with honours having achieved the maximum score of 100%. He is currently working on his PhD in musical composition. His 7 octave range (C2-D8 whistle tone) and 10 semitones is beyond comparison. His vocals range from a rich low bass/baritone to extremely high soprano notes. On at least one occasion he has sung a D8 in whistle tone for 5 seconds with vibrato. He is humbly dismissive of this astounding fact and stresses that it is not the amount of range you have but in fact how you use it to move people. On top of all this, he embodies every song he sings and always gives 100% for his audience. He's a genius at mixing genres in a song, a style he himself refers to himself as neo-classic. Dimash is most widely known through his live performances and has released several albums, the first one going platinum in 37 seconds in China and triple platinum in less than an hour. It has been widely recognized that his high notes are not whistle tones but head voice. Dimash rarely uses his whistle register but when he does it is spectacular. He has many millions of fans worldwide which he has named his "Dears" He is soft spoken, polite, respectful, elegant and classy, also extremely humble, and possesses a wonderful sometimes self-deprecating sense of humor. As you’ve noticed, Dimash’s dears are especially passionate, and very defensive of his standing as “the best in the world.” I can’t say whether I agree, since I haven’t heard every other singer in the world. BUT I grew up with opera singers in the family, and in terms of sheer natural talent and hard-earned technical skill as a vocalist, I haven’t heard anyone even close to this guy. I’m not really into neoclassical and new wave, which are apparently his preferred styles, but I do check him out whenever he drops something new just because he’s so darned good. By the way, his range extends quite a bit higher and even a little lower than you hear in this song. Great reaction! Enjoy the journey. If you check out Stranger you’ll see why some of us think he should be drafted to sing the theme song for the next 007 movie (and Igor Krutoy, the bald guy at the piano, who is a master Russian composer who came out of retirement to work with him, should probably write the score-he’d do it brilliantly).

You’re going to get a lot of requests, but whenever you want to revisit SOS- the lyrics are so worth it, Dimash performed recently in his digital concert 2021 & it’s more raw & vulnerable. It is its own masterpiece. Also- Dimash covered Queen’s The Show Must Go On a couple episodes after this one on the same Chinese competition show. He didn’t know English & messes that part up a bit but I think Freddie would be more than proud.
