First drive in my FP Black powered 1G DSM. Still experiencing some problems after the rebuild this winter. Will have that all sorted out soon.

Best way to bleed brakes by yourself is gravity bleeding. Open the top of the master cylinder reservoir top off fluid crack the bleeders open front first, then backs and just watch to see if you see bubbling in the reservoir. If the bubbling stops then your good. You don't need to pump it or anything like that. Works everytime I do it.

Very interesting! I've actually never heard of that. Thanks Tom!

No Timing Covers? Not a real issue for a dedicated track car, but one that sees Street Duty a lot really should run one. I'd be paranoid as hell thinking about something getting kicked up and hitting the belt or anything else exposed. Otherwise, love your Talon. Yours is my second favorite color, and I love how clean it is.

I have had my timing cover off for 15 yrs and drive it on the street all the time , it's probably best too have one, but there really isn't much of a chance of things flying up, unless you àre off roading

The vacuum booster has nothing to do with the brake hydraulics so bleeding the brakes will do nothing for the brake booster. Brake boosters make a hissing noise normally when they actuate. A failed brake booster will make the brake pedal super hard to push down. If it feels normal then it is operating normally.
@Al3xTalon4 жыл бұрын
That’s not what happened in this case. Changed out the brake booster and fixed the issue

I just bought a 96 gst Spyder 5 SPD with 120k on the clock and a binder of paperwork from Mitsubishi since 1999. I paid 1500$. Just did a timing belt water pump and cam seals last night . It's mint. The paint the interior , you don't see this anymore. 1800$ in total and this car runs great just had an AC system done too right before I bought it. Fucking awesome. I've been messing with these cars since 2004 . Had stock ones had my 98 Spyder that I fully built with a 6262 turbo on it. But to have the opportunity to have this car again in bone stock form is crazy I would have never thought I'd even see one again let alone buy it. Keep your cars these are the last of em'.

I don't think so. You would have to have ECMLink to use it properly. Speed density is a way of tuning the car so I don't think stock ecu would work.
