The presenter was snickering about how the ferry isn't the same has "back home". Then how different it was with the luggage handling. After that we're presented with a massage chair that apparently you can only get in a Korean ferry. This was followed by a snippet showing locals asleep on the lounge couches and a jab at how bad the bunk bed was. To cap it all the unloading of the ferry is done with the Chinese music backdrop. I'm not usually triggered by this sort of stuff, however this just felt like too much.

It's a great video. One regrettable point is that most of the traditional music used as background music to create a Korean atmosphere is traditional Chinese music, not traditional Korean music. There is a big difference between traditional Korean music and traditional Chinese music, and I understand that it will not be easy for Westerners to tell them apart.

No mention of the 80kmh speed limit on Jeju - not so much aero drag, that’ll help with the battery a little. The twisty drive they did from the Seogwipo side up Hallasan is fun , even in a Kia Ray city car.

I'm so glad you went out the city and toured the country areas. Usually when hosts show Korea it's always up in Seoul. The real beauty is driving around actually. The midnight Mokpo ferry to Jeju is one of the best according to a local. On clear nights, it's a stary sky journey I've heard. That yellow Staria is actually a school bus for academies.

I just got back from my first holiday in South Korea, went to Seoul and Jeju and had a wonderful time. Watching this brought all the memories flooding back. The Ioniq 6 was everywhere I went, surprising given it had only just gone on sale at the time. I struggle to gel with the looks, but its quirky and very interesting. I do like the Staria though, they're on sale in RHD guise where I live. MPVs are truly practical, space-efficient family cars. Staria is a bit bigger than your average large SUV, but it's literally a living room on wheels and has some of the comfiest seats I've ever sat in. Would love for them to make a comeback.

It seems difficult to go from South Korea to North Korea. To get as close as possible from South Korea to North Korea, the closest location is a civilian-controlled area, so it will be difficult without the cooperation of South Korean military officials. And crossing the military demarcation line to go to North Korea seems to require permission from both the South and North Korean governments, so I think it's virtually impossible.(This sentence was written through a translator)

Nothing related to the content of the video, but as a Korean, I wanna point out that the background music is really awkward. I'm constantly hearing some random old Asian(or what you think is Asian) string music over the entire video, which I've never heard of in Korea. None of the music feels Korean at all. Imagine you are shooting a plain car drive scene in Africa and the background music is some random percussion with native warriors roaring in the background. You might think it's a little racist, right? I believe it's the same thing. I'm not offended by it. It's just weird to see such familar scenary with very unfamilar music.
