If you can get the idle stable down around 800 RPM that will help with the dieseling at shot off. Mine does the same thing if I try to shut it down with a high idle.

That's a good tip. I did notice improvement as we dialed in the idle.

The dieseling thing happens with Tii’s too. It’s any one or more of these - bad fuel, timing, and even poor or incorrect spark plugs.

Thanks! It for sure needs engine mounts, that motor is about to jump out of the bay. -JC

The engine mount bracket is known to crack which maybe be the cause I'm restoring a 1973 2002tii
