FIRST DRIVE IN 20 PLUS YRS!!! 1970 NOVA 383 STROKER

What's up KZbin Welcome back to the channel, In this video I finally get the 1970 Nova 383 stroker out on the streets for it's maiden voyage. It's been off the road for over 20 years I've owned it for over 12 years and it sat without an drivetrain for many years before I picked it up as a roller. Me and my father spent along time restoring it and giving it a new lease on life including replacing most of the sheet metal even installing a Detroit Speed and Engineering mini tub kit as well as a whole strong arm Ridetech suspension and of course that bad 383 Stroker, M21 4 speed, Quick Performance Ford 9 inch rearend and a lot more. I'll be doing a whole video on all the aftermarket parts I installed on the car coming up so stay tuned and make sure to SUBSCRIBE and give me a thumbs up also comment are gladly accepted.

Now that I’ve got a chance to drive it I’m completely happy with the combo it should work well for the strip and cruising around town, and of course wicked burnouts lol. Thanks 👊🏻

Those rear tires look awesome. I have been dead set on a DSE mini tub with 17" wheels but those 15's look great with the deep dish. Great job on the car. Sub'd

@Mike Wolf-427 Thanks man!!! I really appreciate you subscribing and the compliment. Yeah it was a lot of work installing the mini tub kit but I’m so glad I did. I’m going to get a new set of wheels soon 15x10 in the back 17x4 in the front more of a hard core drag look big and littles. 👊🏻

Great video. I really like the camera angle while you were driving. Shows pedal work , torque and especially the shifter and sound. One of the best test drive video. Best part is the big grin you have on your face while driving. Great nova and thanks for the video.

It's nice to see you again. I was watching your videos when you had that LS motor with the TKO600. It's the same set up I'm going to try to build, but I like the sound of that 383. It's taking me 11 years myself. I'm gonna be following you from here. What you did on your Nova is what I've done to my Camaro.

It’s got 11” drum brakes on the Ford 9”

Yeah I put rear disc brakes on my 69 Cutlass and they needed a lot of shimming and adjustment and a new prop valve before I was happy, Fortunately my 9” came fully assembled and ready to rock, I might put lighter more race driven disc brakes all around down the road when I start running it at the track.
