TJ, I too own a 93 JDM Supra, and share VERY similar setup. If your torque curve looks like that Hp curve, it would be in your best interest to have the tuner setup the boost so it comes on more gradually, otherwise you will bend those oem piston rods.

I have a 900 whp supercharged mustang and the thing is a party but because it's a blower car, the power band is very linear. I can't imagine the same power level on a turbo setup because of the way that boost hits you. Looks like it hits suddenly and with the aggression of a bullet train man your car must be a riot. Just make sure you have enough fuel at the end of those runs to eliminate that as a cause of the drop off. You’re not running out of turbo, just maybe upgrade the back housing, or maybe enlarge the exhaust ports, or exhaust completely

Definitely build the bottom end, get a G42-1200 or something like that, rev to at least 8k. Dial in the boost by gear... what's the point in having boost by gear if you just blow the tires off. Get an et street in the rear unless you put a substantially larger street tire in the rear. Last but not least you need to dial in the suspension to have any hopes of putting the power down.

Teej you need a exhaust manifold that log is 90 percent of your problems smooth out the flow so you can start picking up boost sooner less hit to the tires and get your suspension set up for traction.

A company here in the UK called whifbitz just made an adaptor plate for a zf8 box out of a mk5 for the mk4 "a white Mk4" and the thing is wild at only 700bhp but 8 speed keeps the 2j in boost all gears. Thing is wild. There's a video of it put up I'm sure by officially gassed. Worth a watch Teej...

Put it on the drag strip. When it hooks up all the way, youll enjoy it even more. Need some good radials or a softer compound to put it down and not tear up the track surface... what kind of knock detection is the supra using? E70 really might not be enough, stock internals may be past there limits without going to e90 for safety margin... Reason it was spinning out in 3'rd on the highway is it's going from 50 torque to 700 in a half second. No tire will hold that. Its almost like someone saying "my car spins tires in 4'th at 100mph." But all they're really doing is lighting up the tires in third, and then shifting and keeping the tires spinning. If he started the pull at 40mph in third, it would be perfectly fine.

I'm doing similar power level on pump gas and 2 meth kits. Meth kit #1 is pre throttle body aquamist 50/50 mix for all my boost levels up to 25 psi. Meth kit #2 is Multi port pure meth for every thing above 25 psi, Currently have my high boost set at 35 psi on a 6870 precsion 1.32 a/r, My current clutch set up is holding me back. Its an any time any where set up at the flick of a switch, Traction control helps me keep it manageable when Im not on the mickeys. Its alot of fun burning down liter bikes on pump gas haha.
