That Hemi swap is sweet! Not sure if you know, but when climbing and crawling it's best to run that trans' in 1st or 2ct gear, and not in drive. Something to do with the way the electronics and the torque-converter works.

Love the video, thanks for sharing your experiences and content. I'm a novice and would never consider attempting a HEMI swap myself for lots of reasons: tools, garage space to work on it, and experience to know what the heck I'm doing; you made it look a lot easier than I would've thought. I have to ask, do all of the dash lights concern you? It would seem that you probably intend to resolve this so fault lights become meaningful but I had to ask. Thanks again!
@JKGearandGadgets3 жыл бұрын
The lights are from the one ton swap. It’s just the wheel speed sensors. I’ll fix them eventually, but it doesn’t bother anything

@trishalouonthedriveway60273 жыл бұрын
I'll be honest. I Think the Hemi may perform better, this is because we blew valves in the AMC 360 that we have in the CJ-7 and were comparing costs for a rebuild vs an LS swap and actually found that as far as HP goes the 5.3 is comprable but the AMC had more Torque which is what we need moreso for our applications. But, maybe because of the 40's and the JKU being heavier they may perform almost the same. 🤷♀️ Definitely excited to see though 💖

You're experience is exactly why, even though I own one, I've been bitching about Jeep not offering a V8 in the Gladiator Rubicons... If Jeep would just admit they screwed up by keeping the V6 in a vehicle with DOUBLE the tow-rating and payload of a Wrangler, then I would accept their apology. But they really should have offered a V8 in the Gladiators. I hope to do the SRT 6.4 Hemi swap into mine someday.
@ivanfromtheeast47093 жыл бұрын
I bet the gladiator will get the 392 if the wrangler 392 sells well
@TroyPosey3 жыл бұрын
@@ivanfromtheeast4709 At a base starting price of $75,000 for the wrangler, I don’t see that happening... The Gladiator would probably be $5K more, since they’re really gaining some popularity now.
