@@RoadsideRC Should run sweet on 17mm hexs with proper 8th buggy tires

I am already looking at 17mm hexes for it. Seems there are a few options. This buggy actually shares more in common with the TEN-SCTE truck - so I might run more of that style setup with it.

You can do that! Just a few parts swapped out and it turns into the TEN-SCTE race truck! They share the same platform.

I’m excited for you brother. It is wicked! Love it as is from bumper to bumper . You got some fantastic footage with the cam in the cockpit, and those jumps were stellar. It’s a natural! I’d run it at the track stock and then mod and then compare how much improvements it gaine from stock form. Great share Troy! Have a great weekend!😎👊🏼✌🏻🍻

Ooohhhh. That is a tough question!!! I think the Losi might be a better overall vehicle, but need more time with it to fully say.

What's the difference between the V1 and V2? Looks like you now get a DX3 transmitter instead of the DX2e, which is a nice upgrade. The steering servo may have also changed. It's an S614 now, but might have been an S605 before? Not sure if there's a meaningful difference between the two. Any other differences?
@RoadsideRC2 жыл бұрын
Oh gosh. I had done all of the research, but now forgotten. From what I remember: - all of the electronics are different - there was some change to the driveline for durability
@nigel_white2 жыл бұрын
@@RoadsideRC What! You don't remember every detail of every model you've ever reviewed forever! 😉 No worries, I'll figure it out. Regardless, great video and very helpful!
@nigel_white2 жыл бұрын
@@RoadsideRC I picked up a V1 on clearance from a local hobby shop last weekend. Indeed it does appear to be just the transmitter and steering servo that has changed with the V2. I'm not a servo snob, but I realized pretty quickly that the S605 that came with the V1 is objectively crap! It's an analog servo with bushings on the output drive that have so much slop that a significant amount of steering travel is lost. I have a Traxxas 2075X from a TRX-4 that has the same torque rating (9KG) as the S605, but it's digital with ball bearings on the output drive. That made a world of difference! Based on the specs for the S614 that comes with the V2, it looks like that was a smart move on Losi's part.

@@RoadsideRC Sorry Troy, i can't find it 🤔
@coryp11132 жыл бұрын
You can get some exact replica aluminum center brace from ali express, copy paste "2Pcs Metal Front & Rear Chassis Support" and look for the one that looks exactly the same as the losi OEM part. They have it under losi lasernut u4 but it fits the db pro should be 15$ canadian dollars which like what $10 USD lol. And losi wants like 40 bucks a piece for it, I've carefully compared the ali express ones to OEM losi ones and they look exactly the same at 1/8th of the cost, pretty damn crazy savings. I have them installed and they fit perfectly, holes align, quality is perfect, and the colour matches the chassis. Save some cash for sure, if you seach hard enough you can find the replica c hubs and axles hubs, I bought those too for a fraction of the losi price but haven't install them yet.

The DB vs DB pro is almost a whole different vehicle for sure. There is a number of things - here are a few (forgive me if I get a few of these crossed up: - Aluminum shock towers - Diff gear upgrade - Radio upgrade
@คŦคคgO2 жыл бұрын
@@RoadsideRC not what he is talking about. There are two versions of the db pro. V1 and v 2. I think that the difference is just the controller. I have the v1 and my controller stopped working on me and I contacted horizon hobby and they gave me a new controller and receiver for free

@@RoadsideRC from all I read out there, before going to 4s, get extra diff gears. Also, earplug has been beneficial. Does seem like with all this speed they have just on 3s, have to be careful on the drag brake choice. But I have used my Lasernut for some hill killing (and some track time too) so have a little drag is helpful for me, but just a lil
