Airing down on ice may help, but only the almighty mother nature knows 😅 Great videos as always

Ice isn’t as fun as powder! Stay safe out there this winter!

Good content. I was in that area last weekend also. A lot of ice on the more popular trails and crunchy ice/snow on the more remote trails. Great clear views though.

Yeah I wish we had been able to camp in the quarry, the stars would have been phenomenal. Next time!

Great videos! Just regeared to 4.88s on my Tacoma and wanna test them out I'm right around the corner from Olympic national forest gonna head up there for a Christmas tree, and always looking for snow wheeling partners for shenanigans!

Hit me up in IG if you have it! Same name on there. I’ll go 488 or higher one day if I eventually go bigger on tires maybe.

Airing down always helps - unless your perched on your frame with packed in snow under you… then it’s a coin toss, but more likely traction aids or winch

Totally! Was definitely feeling lazy and didn’t want to have to air up the next day if I didn’t have to.

@@GrizzlyPath I hear ya buddy! Plus when it dips below freezing it’s a pita… especially if you got caked on snow and ice. I’m hoping to make it out to my camp tomorrow… and there was a decent amount of rain before the freeze… I also don’t have a winch… my wife is gonna hate me! ;)

Have you seen the pakmule cargo carriers, i got one used for half off....definitely worth it because of how much it can hold but since you know how to weld maybe you can fab something of similar size for less

I’ll check them out!

As we prep for a few winter camping overnighters, this is a good reminder that it doesn't take much for conditions to get tricky when snow and ice is involved. It's also making me re-think my "I don't need a winch" line of thinking. 😅

Totally! I contemplated doing a receiver winch setup, so I could remove it when I didn’t need it for daily driving or put it on the rear of my vehicle (or other vehicles), but this would have been an example where we weren’t expecting snow or ice and I probably wouldn’t have had it! We hadn’t had snow in weeks!

Living a life of luxury in that tent setup! It's amazing just how slick some ice can be. What podcast were you listening to? At the end?
