That Trans pan is suspect. Check out the results from Zero to 60 on his experience with it. It essentially wrecked his 8hp.

No reason not to stick with the factory oil pan for that transmission. No benefit using that URO one.

Literally just found your channel, I am putting the 8hp50 In my e36 I need the an fitting for the cooler but I heard the adaptor is a different hole size than the hp70 is this true

Yes it is, use the HPR Oil cooler adapter we offer and you'll be set.

Zero to 60 installed a uroparts metal 8hp pan and it indirectly destroyed the clutches. Don't use it!

I'm happy with my 330 03 sedan . For daily / track days 8hp would be nice with a turbo m54b30. Still think newer BMW's are too temperamental. And I'm no computer science engineer lol.

@@SeemsLegitGarage Do you guys have adapter plates to mount an 8hp on an N52? I know that's probably not a very popular application. But it's going to be a while before I can afford a LS swap for my E90 Track Car. Currently it has the GM 6L45 which works fine for time attack and ok for autocross, but it has no off the shelf tuning options. I would like to be able to clutch kick so I could take the car to drift events, and also set a hard limiter so it doesn't upshift when its being held at redline.

I want a B58... but N54s still sound sexy AF. And a 135IS is DCT soooo there's that. For the money, hard to beat a 135. If it's B58 it's an X3 lol

Actually all 135i automatics 2012 and 13 are DCT. I think it’s the same one from the Z4 but I may be wrong.

Whats the max power limits those 8hp50s can hold? No one seems to have a high hp car or anytbing with dyno numbers posted to see if it holds.

I make a little over 700 and its been fine with HTG. Other controllers don't offer the same tuning as HTG so they cant hold as much power.

Anyway you can give a clue where to look with my 335 it’s been down for 3 months and I replaced so many things my codes are : tank vent valve, oil condition sensor, crankshaft sensor, and fuel supply control valve, I replaced hpfp, fuel sensors , fuel pump module , crank sensor twice, check voltage to crank sensor, alternator, starter, battery, and spark plugs I have a really long crank and on cold start car wants to stall really bad and I’m in limp mode and trans failsafe any ideas? I even removed jb4 and retuned with diff tuner and it didn’t do anything

Check fuel pressure regulator, hpfp, hp rail sensor, lp sensor, watch actual fuel pressure numbers, check battery, ibs, and alternator

@@SeemsLegitGarage so, I literally just got a 135i and I track my cars (just sold my M2 comp to save for a house I’m building/consolidating). I’m realizing I may have made a mistake buying this car until I started watching your videos. I still think it may be a mistake but I can always sell it. What’s the reason why you choose the e82 as your track car? Did you just get money into it and eventually said, whelp, I’m balls deep? Why stop?! Lol (basically wanting you to tell me to run away from this platform)

8hp transmissions are some of the fastest shifting automatics as well as having 2 more gears than the stock 6hp transmission so gear ratios are closer together to stay in boost better

@@chriswashburn9430 8hp is just super fast and efficient at everything it does, and with the HTG control we can still use the clutch pedal, just a virtual one with a potentiometer wired to the pedaal, for clutch kicks and such so there is really no downside just upsides all around. We also can use trans brake which is great,
