honestly this is the best explaination I have seen for any tuning on the HTG GCU, finally an explanation to why my tyres chirp going from fifth to fourth!

Can you use a bmw OEM shifter? Good work but turbolamik tcu makes a very street friendly swap using BMW f10 shifter I believe. Downside is they are in Australia.

you can use a huge variety of BMW shifters

How do you guys set the tune for hi load without damaging the trans? For example when tuning on the dyno for max power?

The closed loop control sees slip and adds duty cycle

I’m also here to find out how the 45 is holding up! 👍🏼
@levicharles4499 Жыл бұрын
At 8:22 it looks like their shift rpm is 7k, so I’d like to assume (best I can do for now) based on that and the fact that the N54 is under square; meaning it makes peak torque relatively low in the rpm range (between 4.5k and 5k rpm and peak power between 5.8k and 6k rpm stock) that they may be making peak power around those rpm ranges still. We can transpose the formula (Torque x RPM) / 5252 = Horsepower ,and substitute those power and rpm values into the equation. (Will be using the lower peak power rpm value for a higher torque output) We will get something along the lines of. (Horsepower x 5252) / RPM = Torque (700 x 5252) / 5800 = 633wtq which This can mean either they are making a bit over 700whp at 5800rpm or they are making 700whp earlier than 5800rpm Hope that helps

Torque is around 625, I don't really want anymore down low it just blows the tires off on corner exit
@levicharles4499 Жыл бұрын
I too would like to know how it’s holding up as I would like to make considerably less hp 550whp at 5500rpm which would mean I’d be making 525wtq at that rpm. Would be great to put my mind at ease know that these 45’s can comfortably hold 2x their stock tq rating
