If you look above on your screen there's a mountain, just below it theres numbers that show you how far away you are from your base, the smaller the number the closer you are. Its like a directional finder.

Build the tools. Once you have the reward you can sell them. Try using stairs for going up and down in the tunnels. Build the auto miners, you get a 1for1 for the ores.. when you use your pickaxe you get 2for50.

When building just to get gold you can just spam out what ever you need to build on the ground and then tear it down and will get all resources back. For EA game its huge. A lot to do. Your eventually going to build a base in the caves. Try and find the huge nodes of coal,iron and copper near each other and build base near them. Then you will be spending a lot of time in the caves which are immense. Dont use pickaxe on the larger nodes. Use auto driller. Its satisfactory meets grounded game lol.

I always go down for a long run with 2 stacks of wood or soft stone and just build myself a nice entrance up or down, makes like easier ;)

Use your shovel to terraform stairs down into the pit and farm the orcs as they respawn frequently

The little ruby gem sounds kinda reminds me of an old game from the 90s. ...I looked it up, and it's Rock'n'Gems (PS1)! I loved that game as a kid! 😀

Apparently if you have stuff in the extra slots the backpack gives, and u take the backpack off, u lose it. It'd be interesting to test and test what you lose if you die

You get more out of large deposits by using a drill. Your pick doesnt get as much resources

Make sure you have torrents early in the game. There great to kill and defend yourself. They even shoot thru rock to kill enemies in the caves

I know you're wanting to jump back into The long dark. If you decide to try the Far Territories DLC and also the developers have added new predators I think it's a mountain lion that will stalk you and updated predator spawn points. As always you're the best G.E 🔥

I think the boar morphed through the floor. It is kinda funny that they attack each other. LOL Emerald Lagasse. Bahahahah That was convenient how they too out each other. Good thing you're not Mitts or you would have never found your way back with markers. LOL

Just lay down the requirements then delete them. That way you can still get the rewards and not have to be forced to build with them.

It hurts watching you mine the deposits with a pickaxe. U get 2 ore per 50 vs using auto miner you get 1 for 1
