You did better than my first motor out lol. I went right into panic mode then restarted a few seconds after. Thankfully it restarted and I landed back at the LZ. Good job.

Nice job. Good assumption about being the first of ??. I've had at least 5 outs in the last 6 years... 1 on a moster -blown piston. 2 blown pistons on a Polini 202. 1 was an electrical short on the Polini due to wear in the leads from the coil - wore through in a spot where they exit part of the case and were protected from the case by a rubber grommet - the wires rubbed against each other though down to the bare wires - design flaw. The Polini had < 80 hours on it. I no longer fly a Polini. Last one was fuel starvation in the float bowl carb on my new Sky 150 during some wing overs. I don't do wing overs at idle any more. (Lesson learned.) Expect more outs and you'll always land safely. Way to stay on your toes, come up with a plan quickly and execute it with no chance for a go-around. Great job. -Blue Skies!!

It sounded like the motor was being starved of fuel possibly

Nicely done. I had a motor out my fifth flight. The ill switch wire rubbed into the frame and killed the motor. I was at 3400 feet AGL though so I had a LOT of time to figure it out. Pissed me off too, I was headed for 6000 feet and never made it.

Does this telemetry overlay dataa just shnc that all with gaggle or are you doing alot extra?
@joshperryppg8 ай бұрын
I pull the GPX file from my go-pro, and then telemetry overlay uses that file and then stitches together the gopro videos with the data.

Haha, 5 years this year. Technically its my 2nd engine failure while flying. The first one, my Nitro 200 blew up around 220 hours. I was supposed to change the piston at 200... I didn't... So I rebuilt that, and then recently got the moster. I had this engine out on the moster at 20 hours. I never had one on my nitro except when it blew up lol.
@chrishibner5168 ай бұрын
@@joshperryppg I was on that flight when you blew up the Nitro. When I saw this pop up in my feed I was wondering what happened to that engine.
